Indonesia: Jakarta Practitioners Hold Anti-torture Exhibition and Clarify the Truth to Chinese Embassy Staff Members (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, on December 10, International Human Rights
Day, Jakarta practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition with real-life models
and posters on the spacious sidewalk across the street from the Chinese Embassy.
The purpose of the event was to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by
Jiang's group and the Chinese Communist Party. The exhibition was held from 11am
to 2pm, the lunch break period for working people. In addition to distributing truth-clarifying fliers, practitioners also
displayed posters revealing the brutal persecution on the busy streets so that
people in buses and passersby could see clearly. Almost everyone who saw the
posters were shocked by the brutality of the persecution. When they saw the
torture methods reenacted, learned that more than 100 torture methods have been
inflicted on practitioners detained in Chinese labor camps, detention centers,
brainwashing centers and mental hospitals, and learned that many practitioners
have thus been tortured to death, people were shocked and quickly expressed
their support by signing our petition. We presented everyone with a paper lotus
flower to express our appreciation. Several senior citizens commented that the violent nature of the communist
party has never changed. Several officials from the Chinese embassy came to our site to view the
exhibition. Next to them, one giant banner read "Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan,
Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to Justice." As they studied the exhibition
quietly, a practitioner came over to talk with them. Pointing to the torture
photos, a middle-aged official then asked: "Are these photos real?"
The practitioner replied: "This indeed is happening in China. The
disfigurement of Gao Rongrong, for example, happened just a few months ago. It
has been confirmed that more than 1150 practitioners have been persecuted to
death while the real number is far more than this." The official then asked: "What is your purpose to have this exhibition
here?" The practitioner said: "Today is International Human Rights
Day. We have come to peacefully appeal, and to tell the Chinese Embassy and
citizens the truth about the persecution. The Jiang regime and the Chinese
communist party are still persecuting Falun Gong and this persecution violates
human rights and the Constitution of China. We are not against the Chinese
government; however, we want to bring the perpetrators of the persecution to
justice." He remained silent for a moment and then asked: "Does practicing Falun
Gong have any benefits and where do you practice." The practitioner said:
"Falun Gong is a practice of mind and body based on the principles of
'Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance'. The practice emphasizes improvement
of character and health. Many practitioners with critical illnesses have
regained their health through this practice." "Then can't you practitioners die if you get sick and yet refuse to take
medicine?" the official asked. The practitioner said: "Good question.
I can tell you using myself as an example. I had diabetes for 19 years before I
started to practice. I had to follow a doctor's advice to take drugs every day
to reduce my blood sugar level, to watch my diet, to do some gentle exercises in
order to prolong my life for maybe 20 to 30 years. Otherwise, I could die in
just a few years. But since I started practicing Falun Gong, my diabetes was
healed and I have been free of any illness for 8 years. Think about it: 19 plus
8 adds up to 27 years. I am now illness free and my life has been constantly
prolonged. I am 71 and feel very energetic. " Upon hearing this personal
story, the Chinese official nodded his head and took materials. He thanked the
practitioners and then left. Two police officers standing next to them asked the practitioner what the
Chinese official said to him. The practitioner told them their conversation. The
police officers said: He is a spy of the embassy. From the beginning of the
event, the police always kindly and patiently protected practitioners. Three TV stations, SCTV, Bali TV and Trans TV came to cover the event and
reported positively in their programs the next day.
