I was abducted by police and sent to the Hongqiao District Detention Center in Tianjin City on three separate occasions. The first time was in October 1999, when I went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and was forcibly placed in the "death penalty cell" (for capital criminals) in Hongqiao District sub-bureau. Several inmates, directed by the guards, cruelly beat me for half an hour because I refused to memorize the prison rules. As a result, my upper body, except for my arms, was immobilized, and my head trembled as though I was having a convulsion. I was transferred to another cell, where I continued to practice the exercises. The female guards dragged me out and violently beat me. At the end of October 1999, I was again abducted and taken to the Hongqiao District Detention Center for the second time. Male guard Du Jian utilized criminals to force Falun Gong practitioners to read slanderous articles. When we refused, Du Jian ordered several criminals to torture three of us using the methods shown below.

The third time I was abducted and taken to the Hongqiao District Detention Center was in November 2000. I conducted a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and after being on the hunger strike for seven days, I had difficulty breathing, my heartbeat was unusually rapid, and I had palpitations. I felt as though I was suffocating. The women guards, fearing they might be held responsible for my condition, ordered prisoners to carry me to the infirmary. The doctor examined me and said I had serious acidosis, and that my blood pressure and pupillary responses were not normal. The next day, guards directed prisoners to take me to the hospital. They forcibly gave me a transfusion, and spread a rumor in the hospital that practicing Falun Gong exercises caused my sickness. With what strength I had I pointed out their deceit, and told the doctors and nurses about the horrible things they did at the Hongqiao District Detention Center. The guards were so afraid of being exposed that they pushed the doctors and nurses out of the room in a hurry. They told everyone to ignore me, and deceived all of them by saying I had mental illness from the practice. The next day, they brutally force-fed me. A few days later, I was sent to Tianjin Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in the Dagang Development District of Tianjin for two years of forced labor. The following shows the brutal method of force-feeding to which many Falun Gong practitioners in Tianjin Hongqiao District Detention Center are subjected.

I was twice abducted and taken to Tianjin Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp, where I suffered cruel persecution.

On the morning of January 25, 2000, while we were forced to walk in a group, I sat down to practice the meditation. Vicious guard Song Yanzhu and a female guard surnamed Pan instructed several inmates to drag Pei Meiyu and me to the iron barriers in front of the playground. Song Yanzhu ruthlessly broke my nose with his fingers. Song, Pan, and a few prisoners cuffed my hands to the barrier, and tortured me with several electric batons.

After dawn, the chief of the forced labor camp came to work. Female guard Kou Na told the senior trustee on duty, Wei, to check my hands. I saw the handcuffs were deep in my wrists, and my hands and arms were very swollen. It was snowing that day, and Pei Meiyu and I were cuffed in the snow. At around noon, Kou Na told Wei to loosen the handcuffs. My wrists were dark purple in color, and after a little while, big areas of dark purple blisters with blood appeared. My fingers were completely immobilized. One of Pei Meiyu's hands was hung up. Then we were separated and forced into two small cells, each measuring less than 2 square meters. There was only a small board for a bed, and no light or heater. Kou Na and the former squadron chief Liu Xiaohong ordered several well known wicked prisoners to supervise me. They deprived me of sleep, and gave me no food. The prisoners also played dirty tricks on me in order to receive reduced prison terms. I was tormented in the small cell for six days. Later I lost my physical strength. My entire body was swollen and painful, my teeth became loose, and the internal membrane of my oral cavity was gone. Because the wicked guards feared they would be held responsible, they carelessly carried me out. The photo below is a simulation of the scene, without the ice and snow.

Afterwards, many Falun Gong practitioners suffered this torture in Tianjin Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp.

The next time, I was abducted and placed in the 4^th Brigade of the forced labor camp. From 1999 until August 2000, when I was sent for the first time to the forced labor camp, there was only one women's forced labor camp in Tianjin City, and the total number of detainees in the two brigades was more than 80 people, of which nearly 30 were Falun Gong practitioners. By January 2001 however, when I was taken to the forced labor camp again, there were already two women's forced labor camps in Tianjin, the total number of detainees from two brigades was nearly 1,000, and most were Falun Gong practitioners. April 2001 saw the establishment of Jianxin Forced Labor Camp, the third women's forced labor camp in Tianjin City. There were around 2,000 people detained in these forced labor camps for women, and 75% were Falun Gong practitioners.

One time I saw a young girl in the forced labor camp. She was in the team sent to fetch water. She appeared to be about 12 years old. A prisoner who supervised me said, "Do you see that little girl? She is only 14, and is sentenced to the forced labor camp for practicing Falun Gong. She can't go home until she writes the repentance statement."

In mid-April 2001, guard Hao Demin (the current director) from the 4^th Brigade of Tianjin Women's Forced Labor Camp ordered two criminals to monitor me. Hao Demin, Li Xiaoling, and other guards instructed the prisoners to forcibly inject me with an unknown substance. Afterwards, it felt as though all the cells of my body were splitting, and my nervous system nearly collapsed. The following photos simulate the scene.

In Tianjin City Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp, guards often cuffed steadfast Falun Gong practitioners for long periods of time, and denied us use of the toilet. They even tortured us like this during the summer. Dafa practitioners conducted hunger strikes, but the police still cuffed us in this position for long periods of time, and brutally forced-fed us. In April 2001, a prisoner who supervised me said that guards wouldn't allow Liu Shuping, a Dafa practitioner from Wuqing, to sleep, in order to force her to give up her belief. Dong Weiping, the young girl supervising her, was not cruel enough to follow through, so she let Liu Shuping sleep. The squadron Chief Guo Ling suddenly came in, and Dong Weiping said to Guo, "I beg you, let her sleep for a while. She is so pitiful." Guo pushed her away, awoke Liu Shuping, and extended Dong's prison term. The wicked guards continuously made up rumors about steadfast Falun Gong practitioners behind their backs. With the exception of Hao Demin, Han Jinling was the most vicious guard; her hands are covered with the blood of Dafa practitioners.

Dafa practitioner Xu Weiwen was detained in the brainwashing center and tormented for a long time, and for much of that time she was on a hunger strike. Later, a prisoner transferred from Jianxin Forced Labor Camp told us that Xu Weiwen had died after being subjected to a cruel force-feeding.
