(Clearwisdom.net) I was fortunate enough to obtain Dafa in 1997. Through studying the Fa, I came to realize that human beings are truly lost in a sea of suffering, and there is simply no way to break away from the shackles of all the worries, tribulations and illnesses in the world. Even if one realizes the happiness that one seeks, it is but a fleeting moment that drifts away like smoke and the passing clouds.

If one truly wants to change one's destiny, the only way is through cultivation practice, cultivating according to the universe's characteristics of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance," improving oneself, and paying back all the accrued karmic debts from the past.

During the troubled days when the Jiang group's lies permeated the entire country, I studied the Fa thoroughly and recited the Fa to strengthen my righteous thoughts, and resolutely gave no chance for the evil to exploit.

1. Going three times to Beijing to validate Dafa, I was unscathed

The first time was on July 19, 1999. At that time, several thousand Dafa practitioners who came from across the country were arrested. The police demanded everyone's name and address for release. Three of the practitioners and I thought that we must not leave our names and addresses, so we avoided this by using our righteous thoughts.

The second time was on November 24, 2001. As soon as we got to Tiananmen Square, we were rounded up into a police vehicle by the police. There were many Dafa practitioners in the vehicle. I saw with my own eyes how the police viciously beat Dafa practitioners with a club. It was brutal. At the time, I looked at it with righteous thoughts so that the evil could meet with due retribution. In an instant, a policeman's fist landed on the bamboo shoots of a Dafa practitioner's banner as he struck, and was stuck full of slivers. Later, the police vehicle packed full of Dafa practitioners pulled up at the police station. I was the last one to get out. Because of my strong righteous thoughts and Master's protection, a policeman asked me: "Are you a Falun Gong practitioner?" I used my wit: "Do you think I look like one?" He said: "If not, what are you doing here?" I told him that the police could not tell who was who, and did not allow me to speak, and forcibly pushed me into the police vehicle. He then said I could leave! Thus, I was released. Of the two dozen practitioners that went to Beijing, I was the only one that returned.

The third time I went to Beijing was in 2002. I went to Beijing alone to validate Dafa. At that time, Beijing was under strict surveillance watching for Dafa practitioners. At 12:00 noon, when Dafa practitioners around the world were sending forth righteous thoughts, I came upon an overseas tourist group. I unfurled a banner and called out, "Falun Dafa is good! My Teacher is good!" Immediately, a policeman came over, but he did not see me. At that time, although I had unfurled a banner and shouted my message, I still felt unfulfilled. Then I went to the entrance of the Tiananmen Square and called out loud: "Falun Dafa is good! My Teacher is good!" My powerful voice reverberated throughout the entrance, yet the policeman who was near me looked as if he did not hear anything.

In going to Beijing three times to validate Dafa, I was unscathed because Master protected me, and also because I had powerful righteous thoughts, just as Master said:

"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." ("Also in a Few Words" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

2. Righteous thoughts eliminated the evil's inference

One time when I was posting truth-clarification material, a man suddenly came in from the entryway. I willed my righteous thoughts for him to go away. And indeed, after he hesitated, he turned around and left, affirming the power of righteous thoughts. Thereafter I often used righteous thoughts to eliminate all kinds of interference while I distributed materials.

Another time was when I opened a restaurant. There were two customers making a lot of noise while they dined. They still had not left at 3:00 p.m. At that time, I was transcribing the scripture "Touring North America to Teach the Fa." I thought about sending righteous thoughts to remove the interference in the other dimensions. When I recited the formulas, all the noise disappeared instantaneously and it became very quiet. Five minutes later, they left without finishing their meals or drinks.

3. Eliminating the interference from sickness karma, and being unmoved, like diamond

Before I obtained Dafa, I was beset with all kinds of illnesses, and took a lot of medicine. I was in misery. After I started to practice cultivation, I realized that if I wanted to purify my body I needed to endure a part of the pain myself. That bit of pain does not amount to anything. That is eliminating karma. When I cannot do it, I just study and recite the Fa. Whether it is karma or the arrangement of the old forces, it cannot stop my rock-solid, diamond-like determination.

I remember that when I went to Beijing to validate Dafa the third time, my left leg was in extreme pain, and it got worse and worse. I almost could not walk. Was it karma elimination or interference from the old forces? I looked within myself. No matter what it was or how difficult it was, I must pass the test well. Once my righteous thoughts came out, there was no pain on the way to Beijing. This was another display of the mighty power of righteous thoughts.

The arduous process of cultivation practice during the last several years makes me more sober and I realize the need to constantly maintain righteous thoughts and righteous actions. Master's law bodies are protecting me all the time. Righteous thoughts and righteous actions can break through all the old force's arrangements.

Fellow practitioners, Teacher told us:

"For a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, personal liberation is not the goal of cultivation: when you came, saving sentient beings was your great aspiration, and that is the responsibility and mission history has bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification." ("Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People,")

Let us not forget Teacher's words, and strive forward diligently on the path of Fa rectification cultivation.
