Police Chief and Political Leader Have Second Thoughts About Arresting a Practitioner Who Left Home to Avoid the Persecution

Misinformed people in a county in Shandong Province reported a Dafa practitioner to the police. This practitioner had left home to avoid the persecution and was staying at his relative's home. The police station chief and political leader knew about the practitioner's relative's home address, but they discussed this among themselves and decided not to arrest the practitioner. This police chief once told his subordinate, "Some time in the future Falun Gong's reputation will be restored. We have to leave the door open for ourselves!"

Another time, officers in a patrolling police car spotted a Dafa practitioner at night when posting Dafa materials. The police in the car shut off their lights and drove past the practitioner for some distance. Then they switched the lights back on and drove off.

A cleaning staff person at a certain detention center often had contact with Dafa practitioners in detention. After listening to Dafa practitioners clarifying truth to her, she often tried to help the practitioners when it was convenient and she made maximum efforts to appeal to the detention center chief to allow practitioners do to the Falun Gong exercises. This person escaped two traffic accidents unharmed.

A practitioner's mother is in her eighties. She is very kind, and believes that Falun Gong is good. Her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter are all kind people. Once when she went to prison to visit her daughter, the guard admonished her, telling her to "teach" her daughter. The elderly lady said with conviction, "It's been over a year since I last saw my daughter. I miss her and cried because my eyesight is almost gone. What wrongdoing has my child committed by practicing Falun Gong that she has to suffer here?" The guard had nothing to say in response.

An older acquaintance often listens to Dafa practitioners' truth clarification. She has witnessed the beauty of Dafa from what she had seen and heard, that practitioners are all good people, and she very much admires practitioners' courage to uphold the truth and speak the truth. She often says, "If people were all like Falun Gong practitioners, then it would be nice." When she learned that a local practitioner was tortured so severely she had become physically weak and life was difficult for her because she refused to give up the belief in "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance," the older woman donated 200 Yuan to help this practitioner. After a few transfers, this 200 Yuan and a thank-you note with best wishes from the practitioner was returned to her. She again saw the benevolent and selfless heart of the practitioner who only thinks of other people. She told the practitioner who returned her money, "She does not accept this money, then I don't want to take it back either. You practitioners all use your savings to make informational materials. I don't know who to send this money to, so take this 200 Yuan to make more materials." Seeing her sincerity, the practitioner agreed to submit the money for her.
