76 More Family Members of Falun Gong Practitioners Join Plaintiffs in Lawsuit Against Chishan Prison in Hunan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 26, 2004, Clearwisdom.net published the report "241Family Members of Falun Gong Practitioners File a Lawsuit Against Chishan Prison in Hunan Province" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/11/26/54955.html). Today, we received a letter from 76 more family members who have decided to join the lawsuit against the authorities in Chishan Prison, Hunan Province. With the seven family members who openly joined the lawsuit on November 12, 2004, the total number of plaintiffs in this case is now 324. The following is their letter:

"We are family members of Falun Gong practitioners who are being detained in Chishan Prison, Yuanjiang City, Hunan Province. After reading the lawsuit statement by 241 family members of Falun Gong practitioners published on Clearwisdom.net on November 26, 2004, we were so shocked that we found it hard to believe what we read. China has always claimed it abides by the rule of law. But today, in the 21^st Century, the prisons have simply become a living hell.

After reading the letter, it's easy to see clearly who is innocent and who is evil. We carefully read the relevant laws and regulations, item by item. We discovered that our family members did not break any laws. On the contrary, they are defending traditional moral values, human conscience and China's own Constitution. Jiang's regime has been persecuting Falun Gong for over five years by telling lies. Millions of Falun Gong practitioners have stood up to clarify the truth. For over five years, Falun Gong practitioners have been telling the world what is happening. Their effort is persistent, peaceful and rational. They choose to risk their own lives in the effort to stop the persecution.

Recently, Chishan Prison staged another round of state-terrorist activities. The police used severe tortures and solitary confinement to abuse our loved ones. Some practitioners were handcuffed and suspended with chains for eighteen hours every day. Some practitioners are dying. Fearing this information being leaked out, the police will not allow us to visit. A few days ago, several family members traveled hundreds of kilometers to visit their loved ones. They were told no visitation was allowed.

We make this appeal, for those people breaking the law headed by Liu Piliang, to immediately stop persecuting our loved ones, and allow visitation rights to family members! Torture is against the law. The murderers should be brought to justice.

We will inform more families, friends and people of justice. We will take legal action to restore justice for our loved ones. We will travel to Beijing to appeal for them."
