(Clearwisdom.net) On December 7, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners in the San Diego region participated in a holiday parade, which was held at the famous La Jolla tourist resort. The serenity and beauty demonstrated by the practitioners' procession deeply impressed local residents, and their float was awarded "The Most Colorful Award" by the parade committee. Members of the committee repeatedly invited Falun Gong to participate in the parade next year.

On the day of parade, many practitioners came very early to the staging area to decorate the float and do other preparation work. Meanwhile, practitioners obtained permission to distribute fliers during the parade. The procession, which included a float, a dance team and a waist drum team was very eye-catching. There were more than ten broadcasting sites which repeatedly introduced Falun Gong and the "The Most Colorful Award". The two practitioners who were distributing fliers were so gratified to see that people were so eager to learn about Falun Gong. On many occasions, four or fives hands reached out for Falun Gong materials and the practitioners were hardly able to keep up.
