Deputy Section Chief of the Legal System Office in Yinchun City Government of Heilongjiang Province, Mr. Song Gang, Tortured to Death


(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Song Gang was the deputy section chief of the Legal System Office in Yinchun City Government of Heilongjiang Province. He used to suffer from severe heart problems and lung cancer. However, after began practicing Falun Dafa in 1994, his health improved tremendously.

When his wife was assigned a new job in Fenghua City, Zhejiang Province, Song's whole family moved to Fenghua.

After July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, Song went to Beijing to appeal and he was arrested. Then he was taken back to Fenghua and jailed in a prison for one month. Due to torture, his health worsened. After he was released home, Fenghua authorities informed Yinchun City Government to take him back to Yichun City to work when in fact he was being monitored there. While in Yinchun, Song's health deteriorated rapidly. Yinchun authorities then sent him back to Zhejiang. On the same day of his return (at the end of January 2000), he passed away.
