On March 14, 2003, police officers ransacked the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Kezhi from Anshan City, Liaoning Province and they tortured him in order to extort information about Dafa activities.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Hongnan just happened to have gone to Yang Kezhi's home when the police were abducting Mr. Yang, but upon seeing the police, he turned around and went home. Unfortunately, the police followed Wang Hongnan and ransacked his home, a site where Dafa materials were produced. They took away the equipment and more than 3,600 yuan in cash [500 yuan is equal to the average monthly salary of an urban worker in China].

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Lan paged Yang Kezhi. The police located her cell phone, abducted her and ransacked her home. Wang Lan's son, practitioner Fang Yuntian, tried to reason with the police and was cruelly tortured.

The Lishan Court in Anshan City held a secret trial to convict Dafa practitioners Yang Kezhi, Wang Hongnan and Wang Lan. All three practitioners were unlawfully sentenced to 12 years in prison. Practitioner Fang Yuntian was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. Wang Lan has been sent to the Shenyang Female Prison, and Yang Kezhi and Wang Hongnan are being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Anshan City.

Around September 20, 2003, the Qingyuan County Court in Fushun City unconstitutionally sentenced Dafa practitioners Mr. Li Wensong and Mr. Zhou Yuren to six years in prison without notifying their families. The practitioners appealed to the Fushun City Intermediate People's Court but their appeal was denied on November 23, 2003. Right now, the two practitioners are being held at the Dashagou Detention Center in Qingyuan County. It was said that the police planned to send them to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City for further persecution.

On March 7, 2003, Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Xitong from Qingdao City was abducted at work and sent to the Jinmen Road Police Station. Police officer Chen Hailong (male) exhausted all kinds of torture methods on Liu Xitong. Afterwards, he took Liu Xitong to Qingdao City Labor Camp where he again beat and kicked him. Then, Liu Xitong was sent to the Group Drill Division. By this time, Liu Xitong's limbs were numb, his body was stiff and he couldn't talk coherently. He was rushed to a hospital and was brought back from death's door. Afterwards, police officer Chen Hailong spoke slanderous words against Mr. Liu.

65-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Tingfang from Yangquan, Shanxi Province was held in a brainwashing class for nine months, followed by two years of forced labor, because she persistently practiced Falun Gong. Ms. Wang was detained in solitary confinement, was forced to stand for a long period of time, deprived of sleep, was savagely beaten, not allowed to use the restroom and was not given enough food. On January 1, 2003, Ms. Wang was released, but she was constantly harassed, which created tremendous psychological stress for her. It was around this time that Wang Tingfang developed serious health problems, although she has never been ill during her five years of Falun Dafa practice. A total of more than 24,000 Yuan of Wang Tingfang's salary was withheld as a part of the persecution against her.

The vicious guards at the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp in Changchun City are extremely ruthless. They sent Dafa practitioners Ms. Liu Yuexia, Ms. Li Guixin and Ms. Zhang Guilan to a brainwashing class where they were physically and mentally tormented. They wrote five statements under strong duress, renouncing Falun Dafa. Within a short two months in the brainwashing class, Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Morong was tortured until she became paralyzed and could not take care of herself. Right now, the guards are persecuting Ms. Zhao Chunyan.

After three years of unlawful detention, Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Zhiling's term was extended by 11 months. The perpetrators are torturing her with a method called the "Dead Person's Bed" [The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment would last from several hours up to more than a dozen days. This type of cruel torture causes severe physical and psychological damage].
