People Awaken to the Benefits of Falun Gong

I was detained after going to Beijing to appeal in March 2000. My father was so angry that he burned all the Falun Dafa books that I had left at my parents' home. Two years later, my mother suffered from hemorrhoids and other health problems. Nothing could cure her condition, so she started to learn Falun Gong. After the first week of practicing, her blood pressure returned to normal. Later, she could get up to do housework. She had suffered from apoplexy on her right side for two years. She said that her body felt like it weighed several tons, but after practicing Falun Gong, she felt light, as if all the sickness in her body had been suddenly taken away. The remarkable improvements in my mother's health changed my father's attitude toward Falun Gong. He bowed respectfully in front of Master's picture.

My father smoked for over thirty years. He smoked more than two packs of cigarettes a day. He always developed a cough as soon as the weather turned cool. He had tried to give up smoking many times but never succeeded. However, not long after my mother started practicing Falun Gong, my father experienced pain in his chest whenever he smoked, so he decided to give up smoking. One day, my father returned home and told my mother, "I couldn't bear the smell of somebody's cigarette today."

Father used to smoke at home in the winter, and the house was always full of the smell of cigarettes. We couldn't practice in that kind of environment. It has been one year since my father gave up smoking. It is true -- one person practices Falun Gong and the whole family benefits. I am very thankful for Master's mercy.

My classmate is the highest manager in a branch of a provincial police department. Last year I clarified the facts about Falun Gong to him. He said, "When I did business in the prisons and labor camps, I saw many Falun Gong practitioners. The guards said that they could not handle Falun Gong." That aroused his interest, so he read the Falun Gong books in the police department. He was impressed and found nothing bad in the books, so he decided to ask his wife to learn Falun Gong. One day he told me, "My old classmate, I beg you to do something for me. You know many Falun Gong practitioners. Please help me find a Falun Gong practitioner to be my secretary. I need such a person to help manage the finances and receive people. I can rest assured if I have a Falun Gong practitioner working for me."
