(Clearwisdom.net) During the 2004 Chinese New Year (around January 22), Dafa practitioners in Shahe City, Hebei Province, tapped into a TV network to broadcast a documentary video about Falun Gong. The incident created great interest among people in the local area. This event also created extreme panic among the evildoers. According to reports, state police authorities immediately sent someone to the Xintai Area to persecute Dafa practitioners. The Shahe City police force began to search out and mass arrest practitioners throughout the entire city on orders from above.

So far, nine Falun Gong practitioners are reported to have been arrested, and many families' homes were searched, with their possessions and books being seized. All Falun Gong practitioners in the city were monitored, interrogated and forced to sign certain documents.

Now, Dafa disciples in Shahe City are facing another round of large-scale, relentless persecution. Because of the information blockade, currently it is difficult to obtain factual, detailed information about individuals that are involved in the persecution.
