1) At the end of 2000, the following Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong: Mr. Song Shuyu, Ms. Liu Jianmei, Ms. Zhang Chunzhen, Ms. Zhou Chengxin, Ms. Liang Xiulian, Ms. Liu Zhenlian, Ms. Song Jinfang, Ms. Song Limei, and Ms. Wang Shiyun. All of them were from Songjia Village, Nanliu County of Anqiu City, Shandong Province. Ms. Feng Shujuan and Ms. Wang Xiufen, practitioners from Sujia Village, also went to Beijing at that time. Police arrested them near Tiananmen Square and took them to the Liaison Office of Anqiu City, in Beijing. The police took away all their money and beat them brutally. They beat Song Shuyu, a man in his sixties, as well as Feng Shujuan and 16-year-old Song Limei, so badly that their faces were deformed. The police used shoes to beat them. They beat them so hard that they even wrecked the shoes. Police searched all their homes.

2) My name is Mr. Tian Baojie. I live in Wangxian Village, Taihe Town, Heishan County of Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. In 1997, I was in the late stage of inflammation of the lung. One week after practicing Falun Gong, I spontaneously recovered from my lung condition. On July 20, 1999, police around the country were making mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners, so I went to the Jinzhou City Government to appeal for Falun Gong. The next day, I went to Beijing to appeal. When I came home, the local government asked me to sign my name on a statement that I would give up Falun Gong. I said, "I would have died in 1997 if I had not practiced Falun Gong. That was two years ago. I will continue to practice even if you put a knife to my neck." Later on, the police often harassed and arrested me. Twice I was forced to flee my home and go into hiding in order to avoid their persecution.

3) On December 22 and 23, 2003, six Falun Gong practitioners in Lianxia Town and Longdu Town of Chenghai District of Shantou City, Guangdong Province were seized and sent to Chenghai Detention Center. Police seized four of them in their homes. More arrests followed. On January 7, 2004, Lin and Xie, heads of Chenghai District Fengxiang Police Station, abducted Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jianshu and sent him to Chenghai Detention Center. On the same day, Falun Gong practitioner Pei Qing, Pei's father, Han Shen, and Chun Ze were also seized at home and then illegally detained at Shantou City Detention Center.

4) Cheng Naixin, a policeman of Qingfeng County, Shulan City, interrogated Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Wenliang, who had gone to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Cheng beat Liu until he passed out. Later Liu was forced to leave home with his wife and child to escape further persecution.

5) In January 2000, six Falun Gong practitioners from Qingfeng County, Shulan City went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. They were arrested and detained for fifteen days. County government officials sent them to a brainwashing class where they were beaten. Finally, they were released, but only after paying fines of 1,000 to 2,000 Yuan. [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.]

6) My name is Mr. Han Chunlong. I live in Yingpan Village, Zhenan Town, Heishan County, of Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. Before I practiced Falun Gong, I was known as "the one full of illnesses." I suffered from many illnesses (my left kidney completely failed and had to be removed, I had kidney stones, etc.) and was nearly handicapped. Falun Dafa saved me from sickness and gave me a second life. The persecution instigated by Jiang and his followers forced my wife and me to flee our home and suffer from hunger and cold in order to escape the persecution.
