(Clearwisdom.net) At nightfall on February 11, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners in the greater Chicago area came to the Chinese Consulate to appeal. In the cold wind, practitioners displayed banners reading, "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice," "Bring Luo Gan to Justice," "Bring Liu Jing to Justice" and "Bring Zhou Yongkang to Justice." These four individuals are the key persons who are directly responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong.

According to Chicago Falun Gong volunteer contact person Mr. Yu Zhou, practitioners came to the Chinese Consulate to appeal because recently, Jiang's group launched another large-scale round-up of Falun Gong practitioners. As a result, many Falun Gong practitioners have been seized and several have been tortured to death. The death toll of practitioners has thus dramatically increased to 884.

Mr. Yu Zhou said: "The peaceful and rational activities of Falun Gong practitioners in the past four and a half years have caused the lies of Jiang and his followers to collapse of themselves. However, the "610 office", an agency which was created by Jiang Zemin and overrides the law, has not only brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China, but has also extended the illegal persecution overseas. Chairman of Communist Party Military Committee Jiang Zemin, Secretary of Political and Legal Committee of Communist Party Luo Gan, Deputy Minister of Public Security Department and Deputy Director of 6-10 Office Liu Jing and Minister of Public Security Department Zhou Yongkang are the key persons responsible for the persecution. We just want to clarify the truth, expose the illegal conduct of Jiang and his followers during their persecution of Falun Gong and expose their monstrous crimes against humanity.

According to a Chinese Clearwisdom report on February 4, the deaths of five more Falun Gong practitioners from three provinces of Northeast China have been verified: Chang Jian and Song Gang from Heilongjiang Province, Liu Ming and Wang Xidong from Liaoning Province, Song Shijie from Jilin Province. Among these, Song Gang, Liu Ming and Wang Xidong were tortured to death four years ago. Furthermore, according to a Chinese Clearwisdom report on February 3, Falun Dafa practitioners in Shahe City, Hebei Province successfully broadcast Falun Dafa documentary videos on TV during the Chinese New Year. This sparked a lot of interest among the people in the Shahe area and extreme panic among persecutors. It was reported that the Ministry of Public Security dispatched personnel right away to Xingtai to direct the persecution. Under a harsh order from high above, the Shahe City police launched a desperate search and arrest operation against Falun Gong practitioners. We have learned that nine Falun Gong practitioners were taken away, while many practitioners' homes were ransacked, and their property and books illegally confiscated. All practitioners in Shahe are now under police surveillance, interrogation, and they are also being pressured to sign forms denouncing Falun Gong.

Ms Ye, who also came to participate in the appeal said: "We are fellow practitioners of Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China, however, we have received different treatment. Outside China, Falun Gong has spread to more than 60 countries and received numerous proclamations and awards. Practitioners have sued Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office" in many countries. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have placed the names of 45 people, including Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan, who are directly responsible for the persecution, into the Royal Police watch list. In China, however, practitioners have been brutally persecuted for just trying to tell the truth and let more people know the truth of the persecution. We call on the Chinese Government to conform to the will of the public and stop the persecution."

Mr. Zhu is a senior engineer in Indiana and he came to join the appeal after work, he said: "Though the persecution against Falun Gong has been carried out for about 4 and a half years, the persecution is actually not supported by the public and not all government officials agree with it. We display these banners to expose the key persons who are responsible. For their own interests, they have cruelly persecuted so many innocent people to death. We hope we can bring them to justice as soon as possible."

In the near future, Chicago practitioners will continue to appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate in Chicago to call on the Chinese Government to punish harshly Jiang Zemin and his accomplices. Practitioners also called on the international community to closely observe the persecution in China and help stop it as soon as possible.
