Introducing Falun Dafa in Vietnam (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) At the beginning of February 2004, we visited Vietnam
for three days with a tourist group. The tour conductor said that he'd never
heard anyone talking about Falun Gong in Vietnam. Because the tour conductor
often leads Mainland tourist groups and he had been to Hong Kong, he saw Hong
Kong Falun Gong practitioners distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials
at tourist sites. I explained to him the facts about Falun Gong and the
persecution, and asked him to tell Chinese tourists what he had seen and heard
in the free world, and that the slanderous propaganda in China is not true. In Ho Chi Minh Museum Square, I met a Chinese tourist group of about 20
people. Because I had clarified truth to Chinese tourists in Aili Mountain
before, I knew how to talk to Chinese tourists. They thought I was from Hong
Kong, and I told them that I came from Taiwan. They said they never heard that
Taiwanese practice Falun Gong. I gave them Falun Gong pamphlets and every one of
them took one. With their eyes wide open, they quietly listened to me. It seemed
they were unprepared to get Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in Northern
Vietnam. A young fellow whispered: We all know! He nodded his head and left. Another attraction is Xialong Bay, which is known for its "Sea Guilin [a
famous Chinese attraction]." As it is only about 120 km away from Chinese border
and one can go through customs with a pass, it used to have tens of thousand
Chinese tourists everyday before the Chinese New year. However, due to the bird
flu, now Chinese tourists are scarce. Hoping people with predestined
relationship will have a chance to obtain the truth of the Fa, we left some
Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in the hotel where we stayed. On the last day of our Vietnam tour, we distributed fliers in downtown Hanoi
for about one hour. The tricycle driver who had learned the truth of Falun Gong
cooperated with us very well. When seeing young guys, he not only slowed down
and pulled over so that we could give them Falun Gong materials, he also took
the initiative to explain to them in Vietnamese if they hesitated to accept our
fliers. About 70 to 80 percent of our tourist group were schoolteachers. They were
very curious seeing practitioners distributing Falun Gong materials everywhere
we went. We then shared with them how we had benefited from Falun Gong and our
wish to share this wonderful practice with everyone in Vietnam. A lady in our
tourist group said that she practiced Falun Gong for a little while before, but
she quit because her husband laughed at her whenever she practiced. I encouraged
her to resume the practice. I said that we are so lucky to have the freedom to
practice in Taiwan and we should cherish this opportunity. On the last day of
our Vietnam tour, her husband came to ask us what Falun Gong is and why Jiang
and his followers are persecuting Falun Gong. We answered all his questions. He
told us that his right shoulder hurt so much that he couldn't raise up his hand
and had to take medicine everyday. He said he would try Falun Gong after he
returned to Taiwan. |
