Greeting the Chinese New Year with Blessings and Joy

(Clearwidsom.net) Practitioners in one city of Northeast China had a joyful Chinese New Year as a result of their righteous thought and actions.

On the eve of the Chinese New Year, all of the Dafa practitioners in that city worked together as one body to rectify the Fa. Some practitioners were in charge of hanging up Dafa banners, some were making posters, and some were sending forth righteous thoughts at home. In one village, all of the practitioners sent forth righteous thought together for twelve hours straight from five in the evening until five o'clock the next morning. Within just one night, more than two thousand banners, more than ten of which were ten to eighteen meters long, appeared throughout the city. Truth-clarifying phrases were painted on telephone poles and tree trunks in almost every alley. Dafa banners were hung on nearly every tree. The patterns created by the rippling words of truth on the beautiful banners formed a dance in the wind.

On a tall tower, a big banner emblazoned with the words "Falun Dafa is a pure land" beamed brilliantly in the winter sunshine. On a thirty-meter-tall chimney hung another banner displaying the words "Global Public Trial of Jiang Zemin." One giant yellow banner draped downward from a sixty-meter-tall satellite tower, bearing in red the words "All Dafa Practitioners Wish Teacher a Happy New Year!" Each meter-high character represented the great respect offered to our Teacher by all of the Dafa disciples in Mainland China.

Before the Chinese New Year, Dafa practitioners prepared many Chinese couplets (two rhymed lines carrying a deep meaning, a traditional form of Chinese calligraphy, to be hung up on the wall during the Chinese New Year) and "Fu" (which means "blessing," a single word written on a square of red paper) and handed them out to every household. The Dafa disciples from just one village handed out more than two thousand couplets. The people who received them liked them very much. One villager had already bought some couplets from the market, but when he found that the couplets made by Dafa practitioners had better calligraphy and much more meaningful verses, he decided to use the Dafa couplets instead of the ones he purchased.

When one Dafa practitioner was delivering a "Fu" to a villager, upon entering the villager's gate he yelled, "I'm bringing you blessings." The old lady hesitated to accept it because the words "Falun Gong" were printed on it. Her three-year-old granddaughter reached out to take the "Fu" with her two little hands saying, "Grandma, lets take it! When we post it on the wall we will get blessings." Then the old lady accepted it happily.

On the day before the eve of the New Year, the couplets made by Dafa practitioners appeared on the gates and doors of every house in every village. The symbols "Zhen, Shan, Ren" (Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance) decorated the windows of every house, and bright red lanterns printed with "Zhen, Shan, Ren" were hung high in every house, too. What a wonderful sight and field it was!

One Dafa practitioner hung up Teacher's picture, which he had cherished and saved for four years. It was really a case where "The Buddha light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." (Zhuan Falun)
