This exhibition caused a great sensation in Nantou. The Chairman of the Province, Deputy Governor of Nantou County and many representatives went to the opening ceremony to give speeches and cut the ribbon. People in Nantou, especially those in the field of art, went to visit the exhibition. The exhibition hall was filled with visitors during the weekend.

Through the photo exhibition, people learned the wide spread of Falun Dafa in more than sixty countries in the world and the persecution of Falun Gong in China by Jiang's regime. They couldn't believe such a wonderful cultivation system was not allowed in its homeland while it was welcomed in the world.

On the morning of February 15, more than one hundred Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises in the park across from the exhibition building. They also taught the exercises free of charge as always. Many people were fascinated by the demo. Some began to follow along with the movements while watching the demo. Many of them said they would start practicing Falun Gong immediately.

Collector Ms. Dai Meiling, an Australian citizen born in Shanghai, provided all the authentic paintings by the art masters. It was the first time that she has traveled to Taiwan. She was deeply moved by the kindness and warmth of government officials and the people in Taiwan. Ms. Dai used to suffer many immune system diseases and had been disabled. It was Falun Gong that has given her good health. She went to China four times to say a fair word for Falun Gong. However, there she was detained and beaten. The last time she went to China, she was illegally detained for forty-five days and held a hunger strike for twenty-three days before she was finally released. Ms. Dai planned to exhibit her art collection to two more exhibitions in the Culture Center of Tainan County and Fuhua Hotel in Kaohsiung.

Ms. Dai was most impressed with the sharp contrast between Mainland China Taiwan. Falun Gong practitioners are subjected to cruel persecution in Mainland China, but Falun Gong is flourishing in Taiwan. She said, "Policemen in Mainland China arrested me, but policemen in Taiwan protect me. It is great fortune for Taiwanese to enjoy the freedom and human rights in Taiwan." She looked forward to the end of the cruel persecution in China.
