In 2001, Mr. Li Zhenjiang was arrested and sent to the Third Brigade of the Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp. Later, he was transferred to the First Brigade. In January 2002, under orders from Head of the Camp Mu Jianfeng, Mr. Li was placed in solitary confinement. During this time, the police shocked his eyes, ears, nose, lips and tongue with three electric batons, badly burning his face. Wang Donglei and Zhang Dahu tied him to a chair with rope and tormented him. This caused the entire group of detained Falun Dafa practitioner to go on a hunger strike in protest. In September 2002, under the orders of Yang Furong, after incapacitating Cheng Changlin by torture, the police similarly tortured practitioner Li Zhenjiang by making him stand up for many days and nights without any sleep. The police used the electric baton to keep him awake.

In October 2000, Mr. Cui was arrested while unfurling a banner on Tiananmen Square. He was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp without due process of law. At the end of December 2000, Mr. Cui was punished by being forced to stay outdoors for over ten days. He was not allowed to sleep during that time. The temperature fell to less than --10^o C (14^o Fahrenheit). Dafa practitioner Cao Feng gave Mr. Cui a pair of cotton-padded shoes and a cotton cap despite the enormous pressure of being closely watched. As a result, Mr. Cao was also forced to stay in the freezing cold for several hours as punishment for his kindness. In July 2001, because they refused to sign the "three guarantee statements," their sentences were extended by three months. In January 2002, some practitioners were sent to solitary confinement and persecuted further for protesting the inhuman treatment they received. [Three Guarantee Statements: Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. The three statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners.]

On July 20, 2001, Mr. Chen was transferred to Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp from the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp in northeastern Inner Mongolia. On the next day, Wang Jinbiao called Chen Gang to his office, where he forced an electric baton into Mr. Chen's mouth and shocked him until he vomited blood and lost consciousness.

In September 2002, Zhong Zhiyuan and Liu Bing of the Second Brigade urged Hong Jinjun, Hao Yisuo and approximately ten other common prisoners to intimidate and assault the practitioners who would not renounce Dafa. Within a few days many Dafa practitioners were severely injured. Chen Gang was abused and severely beaten by the prisoners many times.

In May 2002, Mr. Cong was arrested by the local police and sent to Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp. As soon as he arrived at the camp, under orders from police officers Zhong Zhiyuan and Liu Bing, several prisoners, including Hong Jinjun, HaoYisuo, Hu Jinrong, and Hu Yusheng, started tormenting Mr. Cong. When he arose in the morning, he and two other Dafa practitioners had to repeatedly wash and wipe the windows and toilets until breakfast arrived and then they went to work. When they returned from work at noon, while others rested, the practitioners had to continue washing and wiping until it was time to go back to work. One day, towards the end of January 2003, Mr. Cong was sitting on the bed. Some prisoners reported that he was practicing the Falun Gong exercises. Under orders from officer Liu Bing, prisoners Hong Jinjun, Ma Wubin, Jiang Xiaoping, and Hu Jinrong savagely beat Mr. Cong.

In January 2003, several pages of Dafa teachings were found under Mr. Li's bed, and someone had reported that he was sitting cross-legged (similar to the sitting meditation posture of Falun Gong). For this Mr. Li was taken by Liu Bing to be tortured. In February 2003, while Mr. Li was attending a brainwashing session, Liu Bing discovered a piece of paper with facts about the persecution, attached to the assignment exercise book for the teacher to read. Mr. Li was taken to the office of the team leader, where he was punched and kicked. When Liu punched Mr. Li, he bruised his own hand. Liu immediately switched to using an electric baton to shock Mr. Li.

At the end of 2000, because he went to the appeals office in Beijing, Mr. Lu was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. In April 2001, Dafa practitioners in the Third Brigade were forced to run around the sports grounds for an entire morning. The practitioners were forced to run around the track over eighty times. When practitioner Lu Yuxue said, "Treat hardship as joy," some prisoners reported him for quoting the teachings of Falun Dafa. Du Xiangyang and Liu Jun used the electric club to shock Mr. Lu. He was shackled and savagely beaten for at least two hours. He was injured so severely that he was incontinent for over six months. For a long time after, Mr. Lu found it difficult to squat down, and he was mentally traumatized. In January 2002, Mr. Lu was again subjected to electric shocks because he protested the labor camp staff's persecution of Dafa practitioners Ma Yingju, Li Zhenjiang and others.

On September 17, 2000, Mr. Chen was transferred to Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp from Baotou Forced Labor Camp. In March 2001, during an "expose and criticize Falun Gong practitioners" meeting, he protested the persecution of Dafa practitioners led by Mu Jianfeng. He was savagely assaulted on the spot. Mu instructed that Mr. Chen be shackled and sent to solitary confinement. He suffered three days and nights of continuous savage beatings with high-voltage electric clubs and rubber clubs (that can inflict severe internal injuries). Finally, Mr. Chen's whole body was swollen, his head was misshapen, his facial features were completely distorted, and the internal injuries left him incontinent. On top of that, his sentence was extended by three months.

In February 2000, because Mr. Zhao went to appeal at the National Appeals Department, he was arrested and sentenced to a forced labor camp. On September 17, he was transferred from Ximeng Forced Labor Camp to Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp. On the third day he was tortured. During a brainwashing session, Mr. Zhao said, "The Constitution is unable to protect the legal rights and interests of an ordinary citizen." At seven o'clock that evening, Mr. Zhao was asked to go to the team leader's office, where Chai Jianzhong, Section Head of Education, Forced Labor Department of the Autonomous Region, Wei Yuzhi, leader of the Fourth Brigade, and others, used electric clubs and rubber clubs to beat and torture Mr. Zhao until midnight. Mr. Zhao was left bleeding profusely.

After Zhao Lizhi was released from the forced labor camp, he was arrested again by the local police in November and was sentenced to Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp for three years.

In October 2000, during a brainwashing session, Liu Sizhe, Secretary of the Fourth Brigade, hung up Mr. Xu from the heating pipes and shocked him with an electric club for almost an hour. Mr. Xu's face was charred, and his skin was deeply bruised. Then he was sent to solitary confinement for three days, where the only food he was given was pig fodder. Every day, various administrative leaders ordered electric shocks and severe beatings for Mr. Xu. On one occasion two electric clubs were used at the same time.

In 2000, Mr. Cao was transferred from Ximeng Forced Labor Camp to Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp. When he first arrived, a ringleader spoke to him and threatened, "If you Falun Gong practitioners do not become transformed, you will be killed, put in a coffin, and end up with a piece of granite over your head." In the face of such a violent threat, Mr. Cao remained steadfast with his righteousness unmoved. Afraid that he would influence others, Mr. Cao was sent to another division, where two criminal prisoners monitored him 24 hours a day. After work, Mr. Cao had to sit on the bed and was not allowed to move.

Dafa practitioners in the Fourth Brigade, Cao Feng, Zhou Ruilin and Feng Tianzhi were forced to do extra hours of hard physical labor outdoors for refusing to abandon their steadfast belief in Falun Dafa. On July 20, 2001, their terms were extended by three months with trumped-up charges of "inciting Dafa practitioners to defy the detention center staff."
