Some Understanding on How to Do Well in Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) Sending forth righteous thoughts is one of the three things Teacher has asked practitioners to do. Through doing that, large amounts of evil in other dimensions and those hidden in practitioners' own dimensional fields have been cleared up. This has lessened the evil's persecution of Dafa and Dafa practitioners before the Fa-rectification reaches the human world, and plays a big role in pushing forward the progress of Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings.

Teacher has talked about sending forth righteous thoughts in many of his lectures. Teacher also specifically published articles like "The Effect of Righteous Thoughts," "Righteous Thoughts" etc., which presents the great importance of sending forth righteous thoughts. Teacher explained very clearly in his articles the reason and the essentials of doing that. Here I would like to share with fellow practitioners my understanding and what I have enlightened to during sending forth righteous thoughts.

The formulas for sending forth righteous thoughts "The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated. The Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime" is something that Teacher has given to us to eliminate the evil, which is also the reinforcement of the power of Teacher's mighty Fa and carries the power of the Fa. We should cherish it and make good use of it. Whether we can use it well depends on a practitioner's cultivation level and his state of mind while sending forth righteous thoughts. If the heart is not tranquil, the mind would not be righteous and the thoughts would not be pure either, and it would be like making a gesture to do it superficially and would not exert its real power.

Sending forth righteous thoughts should not be limited by time. If we have more time then we should do it longer, if we have less time then we can do it shorter, but it should not be shorter than 15 minutes. The first 5 minutes of cleaning ourselves is very important, which not only prepares for the next 10 minutes, but is also an important step to rectify ourselves and eliminate the bad thoughts, karma, bad notions, and external interference in our minds. To keep doing this over a long period of time will enable us to have strong righteous thoughts in our everyday life, and to leave no omission for the evil to take advantage of. Besides the four fixed times every day, we should appropriately increase the number of times of sending forth righteous thoughts according to our conditions and environments.

Some practitioners cannot see other dimensions at the moment and are therefore unable to directly know the effects of sending forth righteous thoughts. After a period of time they may start to doubt their ability and the effect. This in turn affects the effect of their sending forth righteous thoughts and decreases their enthusiasm and initiative in doing so. My suggestion is that practitioners have a good study on the articles "Enlightenment" and "Why One Cannot See" in Essentials for Further Advancement. Practitioners who fail to view things from the standpoint of the Fa, at least on this issue, have reduced themselves to the level of everyday people. As Dafa practitioners we should know that what Teacher has told us to do is definitely right.

When sending forth righteous thoughts, the contents should be concise and highly condensed. Otherwise, thinking too much would take up valuable time, and too many specific contents would limit the full use of the divine power. Of course this does not include those special situations where evils in the local areas need to be eliminated urgently.

Seeing that a fellow practitioner was arrested, some practitioners added the following contents when sending forth righteous thoughts: "Eliminate all the evil in other dimensions that interferes with and persecutes this practitioner; reinforce this practitioner's righteous thoughts and acts so that he can break out of the evil's den as soon as possible to rejoin the mighty torrent of the Fa-rectification." I don't think it is appropriate to say, "break out of the evil's den," as it means that the practitioner only leaves the evil's den, yet the den still exists and can still detain other practitioners. Thus, we should change it to "break out and destroy the evil's den." It is possible that the surface formality of the evil's den in the human world, like detention centers and labor camps, still exist, but they are only worthy of detaining criminals, not Dafa practitioners.

The mighty torrent of the Fa-rectification is taking giant strides. The old forces have all been cleared away; what's remaining and still performing are those behind-the-scenes helpers of the old forces and rotten demons, who sought to ruin the Fa in other dimensions as well as wretched humans. Let's send forth the purest and most powerful righteous thoughts to completely annihilate the remaining evil in other dimensions and save sentient beings. I hope that those practitioners who haven't done well would catch up and do well. Let's live up to Teacher's teachings and meet the standard of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples.
