Finland: Clarifying the Truth to the Media and People of Finland (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) A whole city and many surrounding areas on the west coast of Finland got to learn more about Falun Dafa during Christmas 2003. Seven workshops were held to help the Finnish people learn more about Falun Dafa. Over 100 people came to learn the Falun Gong exercises for free. Many people found that they could cross their legs in the double lotus position immediately. They commented on how energetic and wonderful they felt after doing the exercises, and they all listened attentively to more information about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China. They all took Video-CDs and other material that was available for them to take home. Many of them attended all the workshops and said that they want to start practicing Falun Dafa They talked to each other about arranging to practice the exercises together as a group.

he practitioner was also invited to a high school by her sister, where over forty students and teachers listened to her speech, asked questions about Falun Dafa and then learned the five exercises.

The whole city supported the activities and the post office, supermarkets, a clothing store, a hairdressing salon and other establishments in the city happily put up posters in their windows about Falun Dafa and the activities, as well as providing petitions against the persecution for people to sign.

Three of the leading daily newspapers on the west coast reported about the events, as did two national radio stations. They were all very supportive and wrote extensively about Falun Dafa, as well as the persecution. One of the radio stations ended the interview by playing the song "Free Xiong Wei."

A journalist from one of the newspapers attended various workshops and read the books Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun. His said that he really hopes that the city will be added to the "Falun Gong Map" of the world's established exercise practice sites. His article about Falun Dafa started with half of the front page of the newspaper, and then featured a full page inside with many beautiful pictures. A whole section was dedicated to revealing the horrific details of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

The inhabitants of six cities on the Finnish west coast also got books and exercise videos to borrow from their local libraries, and during the month of January the inhabitants on the Finnish west coast could visit a photo exhibition at the library in Jakobstad.

The family members of the practitioner, who are not practitioners themselves, gave their full support during all the activities. On their own initiative they helped the practitioner with translation, collecting signatures, distributing material and even clarifying the truth on various occasions. Before the practitioner left, her mother asked if she could leave a copy of Zhuan Falun for them, as well as a copy of the exercise music for them.

The family and the whole city's support were moving and really showed the preciousness and power of Falun Dafa. Let's not forget that many other cities are just waiting for Falun Dafa to arrive. Like Our Benevolent Master says, let's "hurry up and tell them."
