Proclamation of North San Diego County Falun Dafa Week, City of Encinitas, California [February 15, 2004]


(Clearwisdom.net) Maggie Houlihan, Mayor of the City of Encinitas, California, presented a proclamation in recognition of the North San Diego County Falun Dafa Week, February 15th through 21st, 2004, and commending the practitioners for their devotion to public services and commitment to improving health in mind, body and spirit.

Whereas, Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) is a health practice rooted in ancient Chinese culture to improve the mind and body through gentle exercise and meditation and is practiced in over sixty countries by approximately 100 million people; and

Whereas, at the core of Falun Dafa are the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance and its powerful holistic approach to health which has been documented by media reports, as well as local scientific research; and

Whereas, all Falun Dafa activities, including classes and health practices are offered by volunteers and are open to the public free of charge.

Now, Therefore, I, Maggie Houlihan, Mayor of the City of Encinitas, do hereby present this proclamation in recognition of the

North San Diego County Falun Dafa Week
February 15th through 21st, 2004

And commending the practitioners for their devotion to public services and commitment to improving health in mind, body and spirit.
