Guests at a Wedding Banquet Eagerly Learn about the Truth behind the Persecution of Falun Gong

On December 22, 2004 (Chinese lunar calendar), I was invited to attend a wedding banquet held in an elegant hotel. I had not realized that I would be the only man at the nine-person table until everyone showed up. I understood the host's intentions; he knew I didn't drink alcohol because I practice Falun Dafa, and, therefore, he seated me at a table with only women so that I could avoid the pressure to drink.

When the banquet began, everyone introduced themselves. Immediately, the atmosphere became lively. While I thought about how I would change the topic to Dafa, the woman sitting at the head of the table smiled and said to me, "Let's finish our drinks. Then, you can lead in the rounds of alcohol." Two women on my left side simultaneously said, "Yes, let's drink some alcohol so that our faces will flush." Secretly, my heart was happy upon hearing this, since my chance for clarifying the truth had appeared. I said, "Drinking alcohol is bad for your health. I quit smoking and drinking after I began practicing Falun Gong." The lively atmosphere suddenly died. Staring at each other, the women showed their resistance and anxiety on their faces. The woman at the head of the table loudly suggested, "Come on, come on. Let's not mention Falun Gong today. Let's drink." Before I could say anything else, the two women on my left said, "The reports about Falun Gong on TV are all about self-immolation and killing. It is scary. Why do you still practice Falun Gong?" While sending forth righteous thoughts to clear all the evil that was interfering with them, I began by talking about the changes in my health after practicing Falun Gong, then about how Teacher Li teaches us to be good people, that millions of people from all walks of life nationwide practiced Falun Dafa, that Jiang's suppression of Falun Gong came out of his jealousy, the spread of Dafa to other countries, and the understanding and support from more and more people in society. Their resistance and anxiety disappeared whiling listening to me. The lively atmosphere returned. The expressions on their faces showed their understanding and trust toward me.

The woman on my right continuously asked questions in order to help me clarify the truth. The positive energy field around us grew stronger and stronger. Whenever the waitress would bring a new dish to the table and introduce it, I would stop talking. Afterwards, each time the two girls on my left would keep urging me on, "Please continue talking. What you said is so good and is different from what is on TV. I want to hear what you have to say." I continued to answer their questions. Time passed quickly. Since I had to work in the afternoon, I stood up to say good-bye to the women. They asked me to stay, "Take your time. Please talk to us a bit more. We really want to hear it."

On the way to work, I was happy for the people, who were predestined to learn the truth.

Master said, "Every person you come into contact with in society is someone to clarify the truth to, and what's manifest in clarifying the truth is Dafa disciples' mercy and their salvation of the world's people.
