Facts of Persecution

Dafa practitioner Deng Yuee from Chenxi County, Hunan Province was illegally arrested for going to Beijing and telling the government "Falun Dafa is good." She was held at the Chenxi Detention Center for two months and was extorted 6,000 Yuan. In May 2000, the police again arrested her. She held a hunger strike to resist the persecution. After seven days of her hunger strike, the perpetrators force-fed her. When they saw she was on the brink of death, they asked her family to take her home. In May 2002, Deng Yuee was reported while studying the Fa with fellow practitioners. She was arrested again, along with more than 20 other practitioners.

In July 2000, officials from Shixi Township government in Chenxi County, Hunan Province arrested Dafa practitioners. They ransacked the practitioners' homes, detained them and fined each practitioner 1,140 Yuan.

A 14-year-old Dafa practitioner named Liu Qun was fined more than 1,000 Yuan, and she was also expelled from school. Liu Qun and her two sisters who are also middle school students were detained twice and their mother, Dafa practitioner Shu Liane was sent to forced labor.

Authorities from the Shixi Town government ransacked the home of Li Damai and her grandson, Mr. Zhang Bifu, residents of Zixikou Village. They fined them and tore down their house. The persecutors also took away all the new furniture Zhang Bifu had bought for his upcoming marriage and they fined him 700 Yuan. They persecuted Mr. Zhang Bifu because he had practiced Falun Gong for several months in 1996, although he gave up the practice in 1999.

Persecution facts in Qingan County, Heilongjiang Province: the police ransacked the home of Dafa practitioners Liu Zhongqin and her sister Liu Zhongjie. They arrested, monitored and fined the practitioners a total of 11,000 Yuan. They also sentenced the practitioners to forced labor and persecuted their family, friends and colleagues. In July 2003, a person in Huansheng Township reported the two sisters, resulting in their arrest. Their current whereabouts are unclear.

In July 2001, Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Zhanyuan, who is in his 60's, was arrested and held at a detention center for more than 50 days; he was fined 3,000 Yuan and extorted another 600 Yuan before he was released. On September 23, 2002, Lu Zhanyuan was arrested and sent to the county police department, where he held a hunger strike until he was in critical condition. The persecutors were afraid of accepting responsibility and sent him home. Right after Lu Zhanyuan had slightly recovered, they again sent him to the Suihua Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province for two years of forced labor.

Dafa practitioner Cui Shuqin from Zhaozhou County, Daqing City went to Beijing three times to appeal for Falun Dafa and was arrested. She was unlawfully sent to a detention center and brainwashing class, where she was tortured. Her family received threats and was also persecuted. Cui Shuqin firmly believed in Dafa and escaped from the detention center. She was forced to leave home for nearly one year. Later she returned home and has been home ever since.
