France: A French Councilor Wears a Yellow Scarf to Express Support for Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of February the 5th, a French Councilor visited with local citizens to talk with them one by one. When he came to my home, I asked him if it was correct that as a French citizen of his constituency, I should consult with him about all local issues. His answer was yes, so I told him how I was arrested by French policemen with another fifteen Falun Gong practitioners from Taiwan on January 26th, while Hu Jintao visited France. On that day, as a local citizen of Paris, I was walking with fifteen Falun Gong practitioners to visit the Paris Civic Centre. We were wearing yellow scarves and some of us carried little yellow flags printed with "Falun Dafa is good". After we finished the visit and we were about to take the metro train, when more than twenty policemen arrested us for no reason and took us to the police station.

After hearing my statement, the councilor expressed his sympathy and said that he used to be a lawyer before he became a councilor. To show his support for us, he asked me for a yellow scarf and wore it, saying that he wanted everyone to know that he was wearing a yellow scarf. He also wrote down my address and said that there would be a human rights organization contacting me.

From this story, I can tell that some French Government officials' orders to "ban yellow scarves" and arrest Falun Dafa practitioners during Hu Jintao's visit does not represent the attitude of all French Government officials or the French people. As a French citizen, I feel ashamed. Why have the policemen from the free land of France arrested their own citizens and followed threats and pressure from Jiang's group to arrest Falun Gong practitioners without any justification? I hope more people learn the truth about Falun Gong and stand on the side of justice with the French councilor wearing a yellow scarf.
