By a Taiwanese Falun Dafa practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) Since Thailand is geographically close to China, the Thai people often receive news reports slandering Falun Gong from Jiang's group in China. Therefore many Thai people did not know that Falun Dafa was widely spread around the world and was recognized and welcomed by governments and associations around the world. Our family tours Thailand almost every year and visits our friends there. We all have benefited both mentally and physically from practicing Falun Dafa. We hope the Thai people can understand the truth of Falun Gong, not be deceived by the Jiang group's lies, and recognize the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa. Therefore, we went to Thailand to introduce Dafa and clarify the facts around Chinese New Year.

In the waiting area of the Chiang Kai-shek International Airport (also know as Taoyuan International Airport), our tour of introducing Dafa began. We distributed brief introductory materials of Falun Dafa to people and talked with some of them. Two westerners said, "Falun Gong is good" as soon as they accepted the material and thanked us. After we arrived at the Bangkok Airport, because the flight was delayed for more than three hours, we seized the opportunity to introduce Dafa and clarify the truth to passengers in the waiting area who came from all over the world.

A Malaysian tourist group could speak Chinese, so we chatted with them. Besides truth-clarifying VCDs, we gave them an Exercises Instruction VCD, and demonstrated the five sets of exercises at their request. They watched us very carefully.

A Taipei couple felt very happy after they listened to our brief introduction of Dafa and experiences of cultivation practice in Dafa. They told us, "We are so lucky to have met you."

During our 19 days in Thailand, we went to a refugee village to introduce Dafa. There was a Chinese language school in the village, which provided us convenience in clarifying the truth. We introduced Dafa to the school principal and teachers, told them about Falun Gong's remarkable effects on health, and taught them the five sets of exercises. Before we left, we gave them Dafa books and VCDs.

A teacher had heard of Falun Dafa before, and this was the second time he came close to Dafa. He said he missed Dafa the first time, "I will seize the opportunity this time."

We also explained the facts to the cadres of the Autonomous Association in the village, and gave them truth-clarifying materials such as VCDs and Human Rights Reports as well as the book Zhuan Falun.

Since it was around the Chinese New Year, many young people were coming home for the holidays from Bangkok, Taiwan, Chiang Mai and other places. Of course they were also our targets of truth-clarification. An old cadre of the Autonomous Association said, "I know Falun Gong is good. We won't listen to their (Jiang's group's) lies. All of us here have been persecuted by them before."

A group of young people who had come back from Bangkok told us after learning the facts, "Falun Gong teaches people to be good, offers good health by practicing exercises, even this isn't allowed? Since it is so good, please also teach us."

A lady returning from Japan told us after learning the truth, "Falun Gong turned out to be so good, and has so many practitioners worldwide. I thought only Chinese practiced it. I will search the Internet after I go back." As soon as they heard us introducing Falun Gong, a few senior people who had been living in Mai Sai said, "Please teach us a little." As they just finished learning exercise one, they said, "This practice is great!"

In a celebration dinner at the Festival of Lanterns (the fifteenth day of the first month in the Chinese Lunar calendar), a relative told me that he wanted to learn Falun Gong. I told him about how Jiang used his power to suppress Falun Gong, persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China, how he even used a quarter of the country's financial power to suppress Falun Gong, used media to incite hatred, and his acts to export the persecution overseas. He said, "How could the Chinese government treat its own people like this?" He has since started practicing Falun Gong.

Many tourist attractions in Northern Thailand are well known to the world. These include the Empress Garden, Mai Sai City, Mei Jiang Harbor (has passenger and cargo ships traveling between Yunnan, China and Northern Thailand), Golden Triangle and Mae Salong. Tourists come from all over the world. We have also promoted Dafa in these places.
