(Clearwisdom.net) These are the facts related to the persecution suffered by Dafa practitioners in Ruyang County in the Luoyang Area of Henan Province.

Ms. Ren Qin is 40 years old. She is a university graduate and is currently a math teacher for third-year students in a high school in Ruyang County. In early August 2003, she was taken to the local detention center and detained there for 15 days. After she had 250 Yuan* extorted from her for detention expenses, she was transferred to the Fengshan Hotel to be detained for over a dozen days. Ms. Ren was made to pay over 100 Yuan for living expenses every day. Subsequently she was sent to the Linguistic School for the Deaf and Dumb to undergo 15 days of brainwashing. As she refused to give up her faith in Falun Dafa, one week later Ms. Ren was sent again to the detention center, where she continues to be imprisoned to this day.

Ms. Shang Aishe is 41 years old and also a university graduate. She is a chemistry teacher for first-year students in high school and has been recognized as an outstanding teacher. Ms. Shang was abducted along with Ms. Ren Qin and is still in detention. She was fined 5,000 Yuan.

Mr. Yuan Xiangqian, 40 years old, is a university graduate and has been recognized as an excellent teacher. He is a math teacher for third-year high school students. Only because he persisted in practicing Falun Dafa, Mr. Yuan was sentenced to forced labor for three years in March 2000. In Luoyang Forced Labor Camp, after his prison term was up, Mr. Yuan continued to clarify the truth and to save sentient beings after being released. Later, the site where Mr. Yuan worked at producing truth-clarifying materials was being investigated, and the police were plotting against Mr. Yuan to try to sentence him to jail. Mr. Yuan thus had to leave home to avoid the persecution.

Ms. Li Guihua, 40 years old, is a university graduate and a language teacher for third-year high school students. When the truth-clarification materials production where she worked was raided, Ms. Li was detained in the Linguistic School for the Deaf and Dumb for 20 days. Her home was ransacked and a TV set and VCD player were taken away. Ms. Li was demoted with lower pay, suspended from teaching, and fined 3,000 Yuan.

Mr. Zhou Xijun, in his 50's, is a worker in a high school. He was being investigated after the truth-clarification materials preparation site were he worked was discovered. Mr. Zhou's residence was ransacked and possessions were confiscated. He was abducted and taken to a brainwashing class for 20 days. Mr. Zhou was released only after 3,000 Yuan was extorted from him.

Mr. Liu Jianqun, in his 50's, is a manager of a political association, and as he was steadfast in Falun Dafa and refused to give up his belief, he was fired from his job. Mr. Li was forced to leave home to avoid the persecution. He was detained on many occasions and sent to a forced labor camp but as he did not pass the health examination, he was sent back.

Ms. Shi Sumin, 40 years old, is a laid-off worker from a publishing company. Because she practiced Falun Dafa and handed out truth-clarifying flyers, she was detained for 15 days. On October 18, Ms. Shi was abducted and taken to a second session of brainwashing where she was punished by being forced to kneel for 5 hours.

Ms. Duan Huixia, in her 40's, is in the fashion garment business. Because she distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials, she was abducted and taken to the Da'an Township government office and detained for seven days. There she was tortured and then transferred to the brainwashing class at the Linguistic School for the Deaf and Dumb for 20 days. Ms. Duan was also fined 5,000 Yuan. After being interrogated, Ms. Duan was then sent to Zhengzhou City's Shibalihe Female Forced Labor Camp for 15 months.

Ms. Ma Yuemei, a worker in a hospital, maintained a steadfast belief in Falun Dafa, and because of this she was sentenced to 15 months of forced labor. Ms. Ma was sent to the Shibalihe Female Forced Labor Camp but was sent back as she did not pass their health examinations. Ms. Ma has been detained many times and fined thousands of Yuan.

Mr. Guo Dao was detained for two days and was then sent to the forced labor camp to be detained for 15 months because he persisted in practicing Falun Dafa. In addition, Ms. Guo was fined 6,000 Yuan.
