How Mr. An Began Practicing Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. An is a senior citizen in his 70's. His health was deteriorating recently and had become worse since the winter of 2002. He couldn't do any work in the field or around the house. He tried all kinds of medications, and none of them seemed to help.

One day in the spring of 2003, Mr. An was walking in the street with his cane, saw a Falun Dafa truth clarification flyer posted on an electrical pole. While he looked at the posted information, a man named Jin, in his 60's, approached him. Mr. Jin threw a full shovel of cow manure onto the poster. Mr. An was angry, "Even if you don't read it, I was reading it!" Mr. Jin was fully deceived by the government propaganda and said something defaming Falun Dafa. Mr. An yelled at Mr. Jin after heard Mr. Jin's comments, "You don't have to believe in Falun Dafa, but you should not curse it! Have you ever heard that good will be rewarded with good, and evil will meet evil? Justice will prevail eventually." Mr. Jin left quietly after he heard what Mr. An said.

Mr. An cleaned away the cow manure and continued to read the poster. When reading "understanding the truth will be rewarded with good. Remember Falun Dafa is great!" Mr. An recited " Falun Dafa is great" a few times. When leaving the pole, his back and leg felt much better. "Falun Dafa is miraculous," he thought.

From that day on, Mr. An recites, "Falun Dafa is great," "Falun Dafa is righteous" in the morning, noon and evening, with hands pressed together to show respect. Since then, Mr. An's appetite has improved, he is in fine spirits, the pain in his back and legs disappeared, and he can work in the field and around the house again. One day Mr. An took his mule to the market to have a blacksmith put horseshoes on the mule's feet. The smith's hammer was too heavy when putting the shoes on and the mule jumped from the pain. The animal landed on Mr. An, with its feet on his body. The bystanders believed that the man was dead. Miraculously, Mr. An stood up and was intact. Mr. An immediately realized that it was his good deeds and good thoughts towards Falun Dafa that had saved him, as he remembered the old Chinese saying he quoted to Mr. Jin, "Good will be rewarded with good."

Mr. An now uses his own experiences to talk about the greatness of Falun Dafa, and he has begun to practice Falun Dafa.
