North California Practitioners Protest in front of China Consulate (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On February 3, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from north California bay area held a press conference in front of China consulate. It was to expose the France affair in which Jiang Zemin's regime put pressure on French police illegally arrested, detained and rudely treated the Falun Gong practitioners, and condemned Jiang's regime extended false accusations and persecution of Falun Gong to France.

During last third of January when Hu Jintao was visiting France, an incident of improper arrest, detention and brutal treatment of Falun Gong practitioners happened in Paris. Practitioners pointed out that the practitioners who were arrested didn't violate any law and many of them were arrested simply because they were wearing yellow dresses. This incident showed that a few people in French government couldn't resist the economic temptation from Jiang's regime and instigated the police to severely violate the human rights.

Speak person of Falun Gong Ms. Zhang Xuerong said, "We are stunned to see the incident happened in France, a country always promotes Freedom, Equality and Fellowship. The abnormal behaviors from Paris policemen is obviously a result of framing and coercing from Jiang's regime. Jiang's regime extended the persecution to free and democratic countries. We will continue to investigate this incident and will look into relevant people's responsibility according to the law."

Zhang continued that, "Jiang's regime utilized its media and diplomatic channels to spread lies and framed Falun Gong in oversea countries in order to continue its persecution of Falun Gong. Such kind of incident shall not happen in a democratic country like France. This was totally instigated and allured by Jiang's economic benefit that some individual government officials violated the constitution of France, breached the foundation of France 'Freedom, Equality and Fellowship. It is equal to entice a few government officials to betray the French people. This is a misfortune for the French people."

Jiang's regime is not only poisoning the Chinese people but also deceiving and poisoning the people of the entire world. For four years, Jiang distributed materials framing and falsely accusing Falun Gong through its embassies and consulates and utilized the economic benefits to entice and coerce other countries. During April 2002 when China's dictator Jiang was visiting Germany, in order to avoid the Falun Gong practitioners, it spread a lot lies to German police and caused the policemen to search for Falun Gong practitioners in streets who were in yellow dresses and yellow scarves. This action aroused the anger of German people. Later, the Berlin government officially apologized to Falun Gong and promised such incident would never happen again.

The practitioners stated that they would pursue those Chinese officials involved in this affair. Anyone who participated in the persecution will be brought to justice sooner or later. On February 3^rd, Ontario Superior Court found Vice consul Pan Xinchun of China Consulate in Vancouver Guilty of Libel. This verdict is a warning to all Chinese diplomats that they can't have immunity if they complied with Jiang's regime and persecuted Falun Gong overseas. They will be responsible for their own behaviors.
