Mr. Zhao Nieqian: "Even Though My Physical Body Has Limited Endurance to the Brutal Torture, You Can Not Destroy My Belief"

(Clearwisdom.net)

Mr. Zhao Nieqian is about 46 years old and from Sichuan Province. He was arrested in 1995 for stealing. While he was detained at the detention center, his mother visited him and introduced Falun Dafa to him, thus starting his cultivation journey. By following the principles of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance," he learned how to become a good person in society.

In 1997 Mr. Zhao was sent to the Chuanzhong prison to serve his term. After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, upon seeing the TVs and newspapers defaming Falun Gong, he talked to the other prisoners and said, "I read the book Zhuan Falun, and the book did not say those things. It is a false rumor and a deceitful trick." Because he told the truth and insisted on continuing to practice Dafa, he was detained in a small cell for more than a month and tied to a bed for more than twenty days. In May 2001 he was transferred to Deyang Prison; there he was sent to the sixth division. The police tried to force him to give up practicing, but did not succeed. Then the police ordered a criminal to brutally beat him, and asked, "How many beatings can you take?" He replied, "Even though my physical body has a limited endurance to the brutal torture, you can not destroy my belief." Two months later, he was transferred to the so-called "evil division" of the fifth division and suffered a lot of torture. Then he was transferred to the fourth division. In September 2002 he was transferred to the second division and has been there until now. Between April and September of 2003, he was under intense watch and detained in a small cell.

Mr. Zhao was previously very strong and in good health, but now he is very skinny and in very poor health because of the torture he received.
