Ms. Li Xuelian Tortured to Death by Shuanghe Labor Camp in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province

Falun Dafa Information Center reported on February 2 that news came from Heilongjiang Province that Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xuelian died of torture on December 23, 2003.

Forty-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xuelian was a very healthy person from Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1996 and became a steadfast Dafa practitioner. In April 2002, led by Li Jianfei, a policeman from Beilin District "610 Office," a group of people searched Li Xuelian's home and took away her Falun Gong books and materials. Li Jianfei abducted Ms. Li Xuelian to the police station and sentenced her to a forced labor camp shortly after her arrest. She was then sent to the Shuanghe Forced Labor Camp in Qiqihar City. Ms Li Xuelian was tortured to the brink of death. Her blood pressure reached 280 and she suffered from dropsy. Ms. Li had no appetite and she felt dizzy. She also suffered from uremia and fluid around the heart. After being sent home her health deteriorated with each passing day and she then passed away on December 23, 2003.

People who knew the inside story said that ever since July 20, 1999, Li Jianfei had many times led his thugs to ransack Falun Gong practitioners' homes. He claimed that whoever practiced at home would also be sent to labor camps.

When a reporter called Li Jianfei at 86-455-8258869 verifying the death of Li Xuelian, he hung up immediately upon hearing the name of Li Xuelian. The reporter called again and Li Jianfei hung up again without saying anything.
