(Clearwisdom.net, February 8, 2004) On the afternoon of February 5, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners from Montreal held a news conference in the Chongshan Park in Chinatown to inform the media and local Chinese community of the verdict issued by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice against Pan Xinchun, the Deputy Chinese Consul-general in Toronto.

The host stated that the Ontario Superior Court of Justice issued the verdict on February 3, 2004 and found Pan Xinchun, Deputy Chinese Consul General in Toronto, guilty of libel. Toronto businessman and Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Joel Chipkar was the plaintiff. A western Falun Gong practitioner pointed out that whoever repeated the Jiang regime's lies to defame Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners on the soil of Canada would be punished by law.
