Officials Receive Karmic Retribution for Their Participation in the Persecution of Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Yang Guoxing, together with the brigade captain Jiang Jie, had arrested nine Dafa practitioners. They ransacked the practitioners' homes and took away their money and property, amounting to more than 100,000 Yuan (the average monthly income of a Chinese worker is about 500 Yuan). They also sentenced these nine Dafa practitioners to 3-14 years of imprisonment by falsely charging them. Later, Yang Guoxing was appointed the head of the police station of the Kuidesu town, where he continued persecuting Dafa practitioners by forcing them to sign the "Guarantee Statement" (1) On January 7, 2004 Yang Guoxing was killed in a car accident.

In early January 2004, the Politics and Law Committee and the "610 office" (2) of Hengshui City, Hunan Province ordered the policemen in the city and all districts and counties to arrest Dafa practitioners. As a result, more than ten Dafa practitioners were arrested and truth-clarifying material preparation sites were destroyed. Not long after, the secretary of the Politics and Law Committee of Hengshui City, Zhang Zengliang, suffered a broken arm during a fall.

Liu Dihua, the deputy secretary in charge of persecuting Falun Gong in the Committee of the Weibing District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, received karmic retribution when he died along with his mistress before the spring festival of 2004.

(1) Guarantee Statement: A statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again to associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners
