Greece: Displaying the Beauty of Falun Dafa and the Evilness of the Persecution at the Chinese Embassy in Athens (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net, March 17, 2004)The Chinese Embassy in Athens faces a small park with tall evergreen trees. Every now and then passers-by see a peaceful demonstration of banners, pictures and gentle meditation carried out by practitioners of Falun Dafa, giving them a good chance to learn more about Dafa and contrast the beauty of Dafa with the evil persecution that is taking place in China. Visitors to the Consular Office, passers-by, and even kids playing in the park have supported the appeals by the practitioners with smiles, encouraging comments and by giving a thumbs up sign. They have taken leaflets revealing more about Falun Dafa and exposing the Jiang regime's campaign of genocide against the peaceful practice.

Background of Falun Dafa in Athens

Athens is one among many European capitals where the practice of Falun Dafa has spread. The city has practice site where practitioners gather twice a week and where new people can come to learn the exercises. The practice has been received with interest by the Greek people, whenever practitioners go to downtown Athens to introduce it, the sight of gentle exercises always attracts a crowd of onlookers, and many people stop to learn more about it.
