Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Xiao Pifeng from Shandong Province Tortured to Death at the Qiugu Labor Camp (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Xiao Pifeng from Xidongyu Village, Ezhuang Township, Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province was tortured to death on August 24, 2003.

Mr. Xiao Pifeng and his wife Li Guangying were both Falun Gong practitioners. After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, the couple went to Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong. Both of them were brutally persecuted by the local government. The authorities beat Xiao, hung him up, forced him to stand on the ice barefoot in the freezing winter, and stabbed him with a sharpened awl. Despite the torture, Xiao never gave in. As soon as he recovered from his injuries, he went to Beijing again to appeal.

During their detention, the couple's their two school age children were left home alone.

The fourth time when Xiao went to Beijing to appeal, he did so after managing to escape from detention. Without any money or food, he walked 11 days to Beijing. He ate food that others had discarded, and drank water from ditches along the road. When he finally arrived in Tiananmen Square, he practiced the Falun Gong exercises to validate Falun Dafa.

In early October 2000, Xiao was arrested at home and sent to Wangcun Labor Camp in Shandong Province. In 2001, he was transferred to Qiugu Labor Camp in Boshan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province. On August 24, 2003, he was tortured to death. The details of his death are still under investigation. According to witnesses, both of his lips were pierced. His armpits were black and blue.

Xiao's wife Li Guangying was also persecuted. The evil people attempted to force her to curse at Teacher. She firmly rejected. As a result, the evil people beat her severely, causing her teeth to become loose. Around June 2003, she was again arrested and sent to a brainwashing class. While in detention, she reasoned with the evil people on how Dafa is good, rendering them speechless. Since Xiao's family was very poor, the brainwashing class could not extort money from her. Plus they could not get her to renounce her belief either, so they released her in less than one month.

After Xiao was tortured to death, Qiugu Labor Camp authorities gave Li Guangying 2,000 yuan as compensation. The police said, "Go sue us if you like." At present, Li Guangying and her two children live a very hard life.
