Student Expelled from High School for Clarifying the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net)

On the afternoon of February 18, 2004, the No. 1 High School in Changtu County, Liaoning Province held a general meeting for all the teachers and students during which Shan Wu, head of the Political Education Division publicly slandered Falun Dafa.

That evening, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Zhe, a student in Grade 2, Class 11, went to the office of Zhang Guiyan, the head teacher for Wang Zhe's class, to clarify the truth. History teacher Liu Fucai was also present. Wang Zhe started by talking about how he benefited from practicing Dafa, and continued to explain the TV's fabrications and slander of Dafa. He further spoke of practitioners and the staged "self-immolation" event at Tiananmen Square. He confirmed that Dafa practitioners cultivate according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and definitely would not kill anything, especially not people. He further let them know that Shan Wu's defamation of Falun Gong practitioners was totally groundless.

Wang Zhe also explained about the spread of Dafa to over 60 countries worldwide, that Dafa and the founder and teacher of Falun Gong Mr. Li Hongzhi have received over 1,000 awards and proclamations, and also about the brutal persecution of Dafa in China. He hoped that the teachers would have a fair, objective, and comprehensive understanding of the facts of Falun Gong, so as not to be fooled by lies and deceit.

History teacher Liu Fucai said Wang Zhe's words were reasonable and backed up by evidence. He held a discussion with Zhang Guiyan and decided to report to the school.

The following day Wang Zhe's father was called to the school. The school leader told him that Wang Zhe promoted Falun Gong to the teachers, and the school had decided to expel Wang Zhe from school.

This hurt Wang Zhe and his family badly. Wang Zhe's father had a relapse of his heart condition. Wang Zhe's grandmother came from Shenyang despite a big snowstorm, and his grandfather, uncle and aunt were all extremely worried. All the students, their parents, and teachers have been talking about this matter and condemned the school leaders for making the wrong decision that hurt Wang Zhe and his family.

On February 21, Wang Zhe and his mother, who also practices Falun Gong, went to the school to request that Wang Zhe be permitted to resume his schooling. Wang Zhiyan, the principal in charge of political issues said that if Wang Zhe and his parents would not write a guarantee letter to renounce cultivation, he could not return to school. To this day, Wang Zhe still has to remain at home and cannot attend school.
