Japan: Practitioners Hold Activities in Shizuoka-ken to Expose the Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)
By Dafa practitioners in Shizuoka-ken
(Clearwisdom.net) Shizuoka-ken is a city in central Japan
with beautiful scenery. It is known for green tea and oranges, and also has a
famous hot spring resort. In order to let people here learn more about Falun
Gong and the persecution in China, local Falun Gong practitioners held a series
of activities to clarify the truth on March 14, 2004. The practitioners gathered in a famous park in the county.
They first practiced the exercises and then held a symbolic trial of Jiang. At
noon, they held a parade to raise awareness about the Jiang regime's persecution
of Falun Gong and made speeches near several busy streets. Falun Gong practitioner Yoko Kaneko, who was once arrested
and detained for one and a half years by Beijing police for explaining to the
Chinese people the facts about Falun Gong, came to express her thanks to the
public. During Yoko's detention in China, more than half of the congressmen in
Shizuoka-ken extended their help to support a signature collection for the
rescue of Yoko. Many kind-hearted people cooperated with the signature
collection campaign. Yoko also told of the persecution she suffered in a Chinese
labor camp. Many people smiled upon seeing that Yoko had been released.
Passersby stopped and looked at the poster boards.
