Vancouver: Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa, Clarify the Truth and Collect Signatures to Support Lawsuit against Jiang (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net, March 22) Minghui correspondent Li Hua reports from Vancouver: From 10am to 4pm on March 21, Vancouver Falun Dafa practitioners held a series of activities that included practicing the exercises, collecting petition signatures and distributing truth-clarifying materials in front of the art museum in downtown Vancouver to call upon people to pay attention to Professor Zhang Kunlun's lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. The effect was quite good. People passing by all expressed their support for this lawsuit.

It was a sunny day, the spring breeze was warm and pleasant, and quite a few people were walking by. Display boards introducing Falun Dafa in both Chinese and English were placed in an orderly fashion on both sides of the art museum plaza. Practitioners took turns demonstrating the Falun Dafa exercises in the middle of the plaza or distributing flyers, collecting signatures and explaining the facts to passersby at roadsides.

Young practitioners had no time to play; instead, they used their own means to introduce Falun Dafa to people. Their pure smiles often touched people's hearts. Several little practitioners were only about two years old. They also distributed flyers and the effect was quite good. The young practitioners' group exercise demonstration also drew great interest from many passersby who stopped to watch.

Many practitioners feel that people are paying more and more attention to Falun Dafa and the persecution happening in China. A constant stream of people looked at those display boards and watched practitioners' exercise demonstration. In just a few hours, more than 1500 people signed postcards or petition forms in support of the lawsuit filed by Professor Zhang Kunlun against Jiang Zemin. Many people asked where they could learn the exercises.

Because Professor Zhang Kunlun practices Falun Gong, when he went back to China to visit his family in November 2000, he was illegally sentenced to 3 years in a labor camp where he was tortured both physically and mentally. Recently, according to related Canadian codes on torture and terrorism, Professor Zhang directed his attorneys to file a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin and 21 other people who ordered or implemented the persecution.
