Taizhong, Taiwan: Displaying Dafa's Inner Meaning through Art (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 6-18, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners held a 13-day Journey of Falun Dafa and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Artistic Creation Exhibition at the Taizhong City Culture Bureau.

The culture center arranged to place banners bearing the message, "Journey of Falun Dafa and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Artistic Creation Exhibition" at three big intersections in Taizhong City.

The photos document the worldwide spread of Falun Dafa since its first introduction to the public in 1992 in China. Falun Dafa has enabled more than 100 million people to have their hearts purified and their moral standards elevated. "Renewing the three domains" artists, through cultivating their hearts, studying the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," displayed their transcendent and refined values in their artwork, which contained wonderful messages of serenity and peacefulness. They also embodied the inner meaning of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" into citizen's lives and culture. Many visitors enjoyed viewing the artwork and listening to Falun Dafa practitioners explain the facts about Falun Dafa.

Truth-clarifying movies were played during the activity. Originally, the director of the culture bureau worried that showing movies would not be appropriate during the exhibition, but after watching the movies, he changed his attitude, and commended this approach.

Falun Dafa practitioners experienced many pleasant and touching stories at the exhibition site. Through the exhibition, many people were introduced to Dafa. Several people had been searching for Dafa for quite a period of time, but they could not find out where to learn to practice it. At this exhibition site, they happily found Dafa. Many visitors said after listening to practitioners' explanations, "Thank you very much for telling me this, thank you." Other visitors expressed their happiness and admiration.

As the activity coincided with Taiwan's presidential elections, leaders of different political parties and representatives were busy with the election; still many councilmen came in person to the exhibition and experienced the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa. They positively affirmed Falun Dafa, felt it inconceivable that Jiang's group persecutes Falun Gong practitioners, and condemned its trampling upon human rights.

Taizhong City councilman Mr. Yan Yingnan expressed that artistic creation is putting an artists good thoughts into his or her works, so they convey a wonderful and transcendent message. He believes Falun Dafa practitioners have high virtue, so they can create such pure and refined works.

One visitor, a Mr. Chen, felt that Falun Gong practitioners used their hearts to promote artistic culture. He used to have some puzzlement about Falun Gong, and could not understand how the Mainland government could persecute such a good cultivation practice. Through visiting the exhibition, and by listening to Falun Gong practitioners' explanations, he gained a deeper understanding of Falun Dafa.

Taizhong City councilman Mr. You Minzhe said, "Misunderstanding is the result of incomprehension. It is quite good to introduce Falun Gong through artwork and cultivation experiences. People easily accept this, and also it is close to the general public, and gives them a wonderful feeling."
