Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Yuhua From Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province as a Result of Torture

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Sun Yuhua, 48-year-old, was a Dafa practitioner from Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province. Officers from Hulan County National Security Division abducted and sent her to Hulan County No. 1 Detention Center, where she held a 55-day hunger strike. She was tortured to death on March 8, 2004. Her husband was sentenced to prison for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong, and her 18-year-old daughter was also sent to a labor camp.

Ms. Sun Yuhua worked for No. 3 Fire and Electricity Company at the Hasan Power Plant in Heilongjiang Province. Around 2:00 p.m. January 14, 2004, Chen Zhaolin, head of the Hulan County National Security Division and other perpetrators including Wang Keda, Xu Hanbin, Yan Tinghui, Xu Xingwu went to the residential neighborhood where Sun Yuhua lived. They abducted her. Police officers Wang Keda, Xu Hanbin, Xu Xingwu cruelly tortured her to try to obtain a confession.

In the evening, police also abducted Sun Yuhua's 18-year-old daughter Zhang Hui, a student at the Hulan Institute/Harbin Normal University. They sent her to the Hulan County Police Department and later to Harbin City. In both locations, they interrogated and tortured her for four days. Then they sent her to Harbin City's No. 2 Detention Center. On February 26, 2004, Zhang Hui was sent to the Wanjia Labor Camp.

Sun Yuhua's husband Zhang Qingsheng was unconstitutionally sentenced to three years in prison in November 2003, for clarifying the truth about Dafa. Furthermore, perpetrators Chen Zhaolin and Wang Keda broke into Sun Yuhua's home and took away computer(s), printer(s), laminator(s), VCDs and other valuables.
