Over Forty Falun Gong Practitioners in Shuangcheng City Arrested for Clarifying the Truth and Exposing the Persecution Against Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently practitioners in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, have been actively clarifying the truth and exposing the persecution. In response to this, the police and "610 Office" staff members have conducted a mass arrests many times between February 11 and 28, 2004. According to incomplete statistics, over 40 practitioners have been arrested.

February 12 is Falun Dafa Day in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. On the nights of the 11^th and 12^th, the police conducted mass arrests twice. Thirteen practitioners were arrested as a result, including 8 female practitioners (Lu Guizhen, Yu Xianna, Liu Junshuang, Lun Yanjie, Zhang Hongmei, Wang Xiuju, Meng Qingzhi, Mu Xiuqing) and 5 male practitioners (Zhang Shiping, Jia Ying, Yao Shiguo, Wang Shiwei, and Guo Shijun).

At 8:00 p.m. on February 13, 2004 Shuangcheng City "610 Office" staff members arrested 5 practitioners from Guanghui Village, Lequn Township, and ransacked their homes.

A mass arrest on February 27 led to the arrests of over 20 practitioners, including Kou Fangqi, Na Zhenxian, Zhang Hongxia and Wang Yunshan from Xiqin Township, Liang Shuwen, Fu Zhiying, Zhang Fengtian and Sun Xiuqin from Jincheng Township, six practitioners from the Town of Handian whose names are unknown, one practitioner from Dancheng Town, and four practitioners from the Towns of Chaoyang and Qianjin.

At around 6:00 p.m. on February 28, 2004 policeman Wei Zhixue from the Chaoyang Town Police Station, and members from the Shengde Village Committee arrested practitioners Zhang Hongru and Pan Zhenming from Shengde Village, and also ransacked their homes. That night, 6 practitioners from the Town of Chaoyang were arrested, and 4 of them were later sent to the Shuangcheng Detention Center.
