Dafa Practitioner Mr. Yu Xianjiang from Changchun City, Jilin Province Tortured to Death (Photo)

Yu Xianjiang

(Clearwisdom.net)

Mr. Yu Xianjiang, born on December 21, 1952, was a resident of Group 32, Team 11, Rongguang Road, Erdao District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. In the past four years, he had been arrested and tortured many times. Below is a brief account of his persecution:

On September 23, 1999, he was abducted by the Xinhejie Police Station and Erdao District Police Department, and sent to Balipu Detention Center in Changchun City. After he went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention, he was released unconditionally on October 4 the same year.

On October 12, 1999, he was abducted again by the abovementioned two entities, and sent to Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center. He wasn't released until November 26, 1999.

At the end of January 2001, he was taken away from his home and sent to Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center. He was released in mid February 2001.

On February 20, 2002, he was sentenced to one year of "education through labor" and sent to Chaoyanggou Labor Camp in Changchun City, where he was brutally tortured. On June 27, 2002, he was beaten so badly that his legs were broken. Not wanting to take the responsibility, the labor camp set him free the same day.

On August 15, 2002, he was again taken away from his home and sent to Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center. On October 10, 2002, he was transferred to Chaoyanggou Labor Camp. Because of the long-term torture, he was extremely weak. On May 3, 2003, he was checked into the hospital when he was in grave danger. In the seven days of hospitalization, the medical bills amounted to over 7,000 yuan (the average monthly income of a Chinese worker is about 500 yuan). The police forced his brother to borrow money to pay off the medical expenses. Since his family could not find any more money to pay for his hospitalisation, he had to come home to rest. In mid December 2003, he was again rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. This time the medical expenses were over 2,000 yuan. Being single and not having any income because of the persecution, he could not afford to stay in the hospital any longer. Therefore, he had to be discharged from the hospital before he recovered. Half a month later, on January 21, 2004 (on the eve of the Chinese New Year), he passed away in a sitting position, with no one around.

The next day when his neighbors came to pay him a visit, they found he had already left the world. The local residents all knew that he was a good person and he was tortured to death.

The police officers Ma Aihui and Yuan Ye who persecuted Yu Xianjiang were promoted for their persecution of Mr. Yu. Another police officer named Bai was also responsible. These several officers had abducted nearly 100 local practitioners.

Yu Xianjiang once used a pseudo name Yu Ying and published one article on Minghui in 2000.
