Director of Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in Yuanyang County Arrested For Revealing Intensified Persecution Orders to His Wife

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhu Xiu was the director of the Yuanyang County Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in Henan Province. His wife, Shi Xiuying, is a Falun Dafa practitioner. In the time leading up to the Chinese New Year, the "610 Office" and the National Security Ministry sent out secret official documents to every county and city announcing intensified efforts in the persecution of Falun Gong. Seeing the orders, Zhu Xiu reminded his own wife to be careful.

Other authorities discovered that the "secret orders" had been leaked. On January 23, the County People's Congress relieved Zhu Xiu of his duties. On January 28, a group searched Zhu Xiu's home, confiscating personal property and then arresting him. Even their adopted daughter's house was ransacked. Both Shi and her husband are still being detained.

One day before the Chinese New Year, the Yuanyang County police searched the homes of every Dafa practitioner. After the New Year, the chief led police personnel from various districts, with search warrants, to ransack practitioners' homes. Their main objective was to find computers and practitioners who can use the Internet. This was done almost to a degree of madness.
