1. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhang Hui's Excruciating Torture in Guizhou Province's Female Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Hui, 58 years old, is a retired doctor for the Yunwu Mechanical Factory. She was forcibly put into Guizhou Province's Female Forced Labor Camp in December 2002. The second day there she said "Falun Dafa is Good" and was tied up. The person responsible was a drug addict named Gu Xingying, who stuffed dirty clothes into her mouth and broke her leg.
2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Dafa Practitioner Wang Ailan is Sentenced to Six Years of Imprisonment
Ms. Wang Ailan was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and is now being held at Lanzhou City's No.2 Detention Center.
3. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioners Yin Fuquan and Wang Hongliang are Detained
Practitioner Mr. Yin Fuquan from Jincheng Township, Shuangcheng City is now being held at the No.1 Division under team leader Han Weidong in Harbin City's No.3 Prison, located in the Xiangfang District.
Practitioner Mr. Wang Hongliang from Jincheng Township, Shuangcheng City is now being held at Jilin City's No.2 Prison. His wife is doing manual labor in another city to support their elementary school aged son. Mr. Wang's mother is having to lead a difficult life on her own.
4. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Dafa Practitioner Wu Chaogang is Arrested and Beaten
In the evening of February 14, 2004, practitioner Mr. Wu Chaogang from Huixian City went outdoors to cover up some posters slandering Dafa. Someone reported him to police, and Wu Chaogang was later beaten up at the Dongxinzhuang Plastic Factory. After he was beaten unconscious, the police awakened him by dousing him with water and later assaulted him again to extort a confession. On February 15, more than a dozen policemen from Huixian City went to ransack Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Chaogang's home again and confiscated all of the Dafa books. At present, Wu Chaogang is being held at Huixian City's Detention Center.
5. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Arrest of Dafa Practitioners Wu Zexiu and Tang Lifang
Ms. Wu Zexiu, 64, and Ms. Tang Lifang, 58, are Dafa practitioners from Guiyang City. On January 4, 2004, Qingzhen City's police officers arrested them while they were clarifying the facts to people in Qingzhen City. The Guizhou Provincial Female Forced Labor Camp is located there and they told people about the things that are going on in this camp, as well as in the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp. Without the benefit of a trial, they were given a sentence of three years and directly sent to Guizhou Province's Female Forced Labor Camp.
6. [Chongqing] Illegal Sentences of Practitioners Handed out in Chongqing City's Intermediate Court
At 9:30 a.m. on February 16 2004, Chongqing City's Intermediate Court brought Ms. Duan Yan and several other detained practitioners to trial. They were arrested last year during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

7. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Practitioner Mr. Zhang Peng
Practitioner Mr. Zhang Peng from Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province was arrested while clarifying the truth. Three days later, at 9:00 a.m. of February 12, 2004, the police from the local "610 Office" ransacked his home and arrested Zhang's mother. Their current whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Qilu City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Practitioners Mr. Zheng Hui and Ms. Liu Hailan
On January 14, 2004, Shi Guangqing, chief of the local "610 Office" led officers from the Qidu Police Office to arrest practitioners Mr. Zheng Hui and Ms. Liu Hailan. They are employees of the Qilu Petroleum Manufacturing Company. He sent them to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. Zheng Hui is presently on a hunger strike to protest the detention.
9. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Police Chief Zhang Fulin Extorts Money from Practitioners
In 2001, after practitioner Ms. Zou Dezhen was arrested, Zhang Fulin, former chief of Gongzhuling City's Political and Security Committee, extorted 4,000 Yuan from Zou's family and did not give them a receipt, even though the family members requested one for three days in a row. Zhang also extorted 2,000 Yuan** from practitioner Liu Lixia, who is from the Zhangjia Street Farm in Gongzhuling City.
After practitioner Ms. Yan Lijing was arrested, Zhang extorted 2,700 Yuan from Yan's family in addition to the deposit fee.
**500 Yuan is the average monthly income of a Chinese urban worker.
10. [China] Arrest of Dafa Practitioners An Xiulun, Cao Shuzhen and Qin Yulong
Someone reported Mr. An Xiulun, who is in his 40's, to the city's police department, leading to Mr. An's arrest at his home on December 27, 2003. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is detained at the No.4 Division in the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp.
In April 2003, Ms. Cao Shuzhen, a practitioner in her fifties, was arrested from home and sentenced to two years of forced labor. She is currently detained at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp.
In April 2003, Mr. Qin Yulong, a 64-year-old practitioner and a lecturer at the Harbin Industry University, was arrested by the university's authorities when he went to the university to pick up his salary. He was transferred to the Wanjia Hospital after being severely tortured.
11. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Sun Yulin Suffers Mental Breakdown due to Torture at a Forced Labor Camp
Sun Yulin is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Bayuquan District, Yingkou City, Liaoning Province. Officers from Bayuquan District's Police Precinct arrested Ms. Sun and put her into the Yingkou City Forced Labor Camp. The policemen clamored, "We will not release you unless you give up Falun Gong." They attempted to brainwash Ms. Sun and subjected her to various forms of mental torture. She could not endure the pressure and suffered a breakdown. The wardens in the forced labor camp later released her.
12. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Long-Term Detention of Dafa Practitioners Huang Yanjin and Li Xiuqin at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Huang Yanji is from Dawangzhangzi Township, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. Since 1999 when the Jiang regime began to openly persecute Falun Gong, policemen of the Dawangzhangzi Police Precinct had often gone to her home to harass her. They arrested her in 2000, and took her to a detention center and released her after a one-month stay. During 2001 and 2002, officers from the Dawangzhangzi Police Precinct fined her several thousand yuan. In October 2002 she was again arrested and taken to a detention center for refusing to give up Dafa. Later she was sentenced and put into the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She is still being detained there.
In 2000, policemen from the Dawangzhangzi Police Precinct arrested Ms. Li Xiuqin for practicing Falun Gong. She was put into a detention center for one month. In October 2002 she was arrested again. Later, she was sentenced and sent to Shenyang City's Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she is still being detained.
In 2000, officers from the Dawangzhangzi Police Precinct arrested Ms. Wang Yanqiu and put her into a one-month detention. In September 2002 she was arrested again for going to Beijing to appeal. After being held in a detention center, she was sentenced to forced labor. Presently she is still detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
