Belated News: Ms. Zhang Yanju Confirmed to Have Died of Persecution Four Years Ago


(Clearwisdom.net) It has been verified that a female Falun Gong practitioner from Fuxin County, Liaoning Province was tortured to death four years ago.

Ms. Zhang Yanju, over 30 years old, was arrested and sent to the detention center by the Fuxin County Police Department in February 2000. She was released on March 6, 2000. Three days after she returned home, she passed away.

A policeman from Chengdong Police Station (phone: 86-418-8823404) confirmed Zhang's death and told the caller that it was the police department that ordered them to send Zhang to the detention center. But he refused to provide any further information, claiming that the campaign the authorities waged against Falun Gong is a political battle and he cannot answer relevant questions.

The above news indicates that many of the death cases of Falun Gong practitioners have been intentionally blocked. The actual death toll of Falun Gong practitioners should have far exceeded the figure of over 900 known to the public.
