Taiwan: National Central University Falun Dafa Club Holds Concert to Clarify Truth (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 21, 2004, the Falun Dafa Club of National Central University held an outdoor concert on campus to show students the beauty of Falun Dafa and draw public attention to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The musicians of the concert are Falun Gong practitioners who have performed around Taiwan and have been invited to perform in famous music centers in foreign countries. Among them, are a pianist who studies in Austria, undergraduate and graduate students from Shih Hsin University and National Chiao Tung University, as well as office workers. All the programs of the concert were composed by Falun Gong practitioners.

The "National Central University Falun Dafa Club Music Presentation" started with the performance of the "Small Red Hat" drum troupe. The song "You and Me Have a Predestined Relationship" attracted every spectator's attention. This song was followed by dancing, solos of Erhu, Guzheng, and Pipa (traditional Chinese bowed-string instruments) respectively, a piano solo and a poem recital. The graceful dancing and elegant music attracted many passersby to stop and watch.

A student curiously asked: "What is the relation between Falun Gong and music?" A practitioner told him: "Music is part of culture; practitioners incorporate their cultivation experience into music. While playing, listeners can sense the realm of practitioners and thus be purified and elevated spiritually."

After hearing by chance the news of this concert from a practitioner, a principal of a middle school attended the concert with his wife. He said that he just recently finished the Falun Dafa 9-day lectures.

Some students acclaimed at the purity of the singers' performance, some took free CDs and said that they will listen to it at home, and some asked for locations of practice sites.

Though it was drizzling and the ground was a little wet, all performers still performed wholeheartedly. A practitioner commented: "I saw fellow practitioners working wholeheartedly to prepare for the concert; dancers and singers overcame many difficulties to present the audience the graceful performance."

Before the concert concluded, the host explained why practitioners from other cities and counties came to participate in this concert. Their purpose is to tell the public that Falun Gong, which has spread to more than 60 countries, is great. At the same time, they hope that Jiang regime's persecution of the belief of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" would end as soon as possible.

Finally, the concert successfully concluded with practitioners singing "Coming for You" and "Falun Dafa Hao" (Falun Dafa is great) together.
