Police Chief Lu Hongyan Severely Tortures Elderly Women in Lushuihe Town, Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Since Lu Hongyan, deputy chief of Lushuihe Town Police Department, took office, he has been the major culprit responsible for persecuting local Falun Dafa practitioners. He has extorted money from Falun Gong practitioners and cruelly beaten them, often leaving their entire bodies bruised, not even sparing elderly women of sixty to seventy years of age. He beats them up the same way as he does criminals. When ransacking practitioners' homes, the police do anything they want. They are worse than robbers and bandits, and rifle valuable belongings. When they ransacked the home of an elderly female practitioner, they stole a ring, necklace, and 200 Yuan in cash from the old woman's home. The ring and necklace were birthday presents from her daughter, and the 200 Yuan was her savings she had planned to use for water pipe repairs. She had set aside money from her food budget to do this. When the practitioner claimed her property from Lu Hongyan, Lu threatened that he would sentence her, and he forced her to put her fingerprints on the statement that they had prepared for her.

This woman is in her 60's. Lu Hongyan arrested her twice in less than three months. It greatly damaged her, both physically and mentally. Lu Hongyan's beatings have crippled her legs. Then the persecutors sent her to the Fusong Detention Center and later sentenced her to a year of forced labor. Her family members spent much money and got her out of the forced labor camp. The vicious people had extorted all her money. She is having great difficulty just living from day to day.

On October 4, 2003 Lu Hongyan was ordered to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners without following any legal procedures. The officials fabricated charges and arrested practitioners, then ransacked their homes and conjured faked evidence. A total of six practitioners were arrested. Ms. Xing Yunfeng was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp and another practitioner, Tang, was sent to the Changchun City Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp.

In the process of arresting Ms. Xing Yunfeng, 41, persecutors Lu Hongyan and other policemen brutalized her. The police tied her hands behind her back with one hand over the shoulder and the other hand against the lower back. They then applied a great deal of force to pull the two hands toward one another and handcuff the two hands together. Finally they inserted a soda can under the cuffs to cause her even more pain.

This torture method can easily make one's flesh and bone separate, and disable a person's arms for life. This is a hideous torture. The police also covered her head with a plastic bag and tried to suffocate her. After she regained consciousness they put the plastic bag on her head again. They did this repeatedly. They used force to stretch her legs into a straight line, and then had policemen stand on her joints. This torture permanently damaged her knees and she could no longer stand upright. They still wouldn't leave her alone, and some policemen inhumanely lifted her cuffed arms upwards forcefully. Eight policemen tortured this poor woman from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning, to the brink of death.

She was first sent to the Fusong Detention Center. Since she refused to spend money to process paperwork for parole (to finish her detention term outside the center), the evildoers sentenced her to two years of forced labor in the Changchun City Heizuizi Labor Camp.

Ms. Xing Yunfeng's legs were disabled from the torture. She cannot walk because of severe injuries to her left knee joint. Her face was swollen and there were bruises all over her body. Her legs were red and blue. Now her thirteen-year-old son is left home alone with no one to take care of him.

In the nearly five years of persecution against Falun Gong, Lu Hongyan, the Police Department Head, as executor of Jiang's orders to devastate innocent practitioners, cannot avoid responsibility for his gruesome deeds. It is the citizens' money that pay his policeman's salary. He should have acted against criminals, protected good people, and ensured people's safety. Instead, he and his staff are doing things in a perverse way.
