from China to visit his relatives told a Falun Gong practitioner while chatting
with him, "Before 1999, there was no problem with Falun Gong, and
everything was fine. How could it become a cult overnight? Falun Gong
practitioners were accused of being responsible for all sorts of ridiculous
things such as the 'self-immolation', and 'cutting open one's abdomen like a
crazy person'.[1] I asked my daughter if people practicing Falun Gong overseas
were like that. She told me that all those accusations were fabricated
propaganda. As soon as I came to America, my daughter asked me to read Zhuan
Falun. The moment I started reading, I could easily relate to what was said
in the book. Master Li's words could not be more correct. When I return to
China, I will take the book with me. I will study the book well. Those who say
that Falun Gong is evil are actually evil themselves." The Dafa practitioner said to him, "Yes, it is indeed like this. This is
precisely the reason why after four years of persecution and suppression, Falun
Gong still stands strong. Actually this persecution is happening on a global
scale. On the surface, people can only see the physical and mental suffering
endured by Falun Gong practitioners. On a deeper level, the persecution has
brought about a much bigger disaster, as it destroys humanity and human
conscience and ruins mankind's morality. Jiang Zemin has used money and personal
benefits as bait to induce people to betray their conscience. In China, the
police obviously know that Falun Gong practitioners are good people, yet they
still go and arrest them against their conscience, because if they don't they
will lose their bonus; even the grass-roots residents' committees spend money to
monitor Falun Gong practitioners and harass them. If prisoners do not beat up
Falun Gong practitioners as directed by the police guards, their prison terms
are extended. Jiang Zemin has also extended the persecution of Falun Gong
overseas. Some short-sighted countries, in order to win trade favors from China,
made a wrong choice against their conscience, choosing material interests over
justice.[2] The Chinese visitor said, "The methods used to persecute Falun Gong are
the same as those used during the Cultural Revolution. Sooner or later, the
Falun Gong issue will be redressed. The public trial against Jiang Zemin is the
wish of the people, and the people of China will applaud the day when Jiang
Zemin is brought to justice." [1] The "self-immolation" and "cutting open the abdomen
like a crazy person" refer to incidents staged by the Jiang regime to frame
and demonize Falun Gong practitioners and cause Chinese people to hate Falun
Gong and fear it. One should note that Falun Gong is freely practiced in over 60
countries around the world, yet there has never been any single instance like
this in those countries. Further, such eincidents' seem to have occurred only
after the persecution of Falun Gong began in China in 1999. [2] This refers to recent incidents in which Falun Gong practitioners were
mistreated when Chinese officials visited other nations. Particularly, in March
2002, the Iceland government made a decision to bar Falun Gong practitioners
from peacefully appealing when Jiang Zemin, who instigated the persecution of
Falun Gong, visited Iceland. In February 2003, France arrested Falun Gong
practitioners for wearing yellow colored clothing, as well as having the words
"Falun Gong" on their shirts. It is believed that these incidents
happened because the people in the Chinese regime blackmailed the governments of
