Solemn Declaration

I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, but my parents are. When they suffered from torture I wrote a "guarantee statement" (to give up practicing) for them, and answered some questions that slandered Dafa. Now, I'm solemnly declaring that those are null and void.

I do not study Dafa, but I know that Dafa is good. I have read the Dafa book [Zhuan Falun], and know that Dafa is mystical, and know about the Teacher's mercy. Everyone who studies Dafa is a good person, because they all practice "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

The government fabricated lies to persecute Falun Gong. I believe that it is wrong, is shameful and will incur bad luck. Before my wife learned Fa she was "a pill pot," someone who had to take medicines all the time. After she obtained the Fa, all her illnesses went away. Dafa is very miraculous. However, later when Falun Gong was persecuted, my wife also went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. She was arrested, taken back and detained. From then on, the neighborhood association head and the local police station officials frequently came to my house to harass and threaten us. One day they came to my house when my wife was not home. They then tried to force me to write the "guarantee statement."* If I refused, they would force me to find her. Thinking that since I was not a practitioner, if my wife wrote it, she would betray Dafa and Teacher, hence, I wrote the "guarantee statement" which I shouldn't have written. Now I am solemnly declaring that everything I wrote is null and void.
