A Letter from a Young Dafa Practitioner to Police Authorities in Jinzhou City
(Clearwisdom.net) Dear uncles and aunties working in the community and local police precincts, Greetings! I'm a 6th grade student and a 13-year-old Falun Dafa
practitioner. I have had a dream for several years, which is to have an
environment for us to speak the truth. Today, for you, your family and your
children's future, please allow me to tell you some words that I have been
keeping in my heart for the past several years. When I was younger, I had a wonderful and happy family. Both my parents loved
me dearly. But just when I started my schooling, my parents began to quarrel
with each other and later they even started to fight. Every time, I cried and
screamed to stop them from fighting, however, the quarrels happened every other
day. What had happened? As I grew up, I gradually got to know that it was
because my dad had a lover outside the home. I was very angry and firmly stood
on my mom's side, criticizing my father. As time passed, my mother suffered from
heart disease, neurasthenia, and insomnia due to grief and anger. The family
misfortunes hurt my heart. I was absent-minded every day and skipped classes,
which resulted in my grades dropping fast. In addition, I often lost my temper
with my classmates. In the end, one day, my parents decided to divorce. I cried
and said, "I can't leave mother, nor can I leave father. If you divorce,
then I will not live any more." As I went all out to protect my family from
breaking apart, and because my parents truly loved me, they did not get
divorced, and the days passed by with quarrels every day. In the summer of 1998, my mother had a chance to attain Falun Dafa, and she
changed into a totally different person. She pulled herself together and was
always in good spirits. She participated in group Fa study and exercises. At
home and outside, she was always the first one to do the hard work. All her
illnesses were gone before we knew it. Most importantly, she no longer fought
with my father. She did not hate anyone or complain about anything. She was
happy every day. She no longer lost her temper. Upon seeing all those changes, I
thought, "Wow! Falun Gong can change a person so fast. It's amazing." Under mother's influence, I gradually understood that Falun Gong is taught by
Master Li and it is a high-level cultivation system in the Buddhist school. And
it is based on the highest principles of
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." In Zhuan Falun, Master Li
uses modern science to explain cultivation principles and methods in simple
language. After reading this book, many people have experienced significant
changes both physically and mentally. They begin to realize the true
significance of their lives. Most of them try their best to be a good person and
then gradually achieve a higher morality, not pursuing fame or personal
interest. They are strict with themselves according to the principles of
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Gradually, I also started to cultivate. I now do not quarrel with my
classmates. I respect my teacher and like my school; I am strict with myself
based on the standards of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." I
became the top student in my class, and my classmates and teachers liked me a
lot more. My father also gave up his bad habits and supported us in practicing
Dafa. It is Master and Dafa who made our family reunite. In July 1999, however, the persecution of Falun Gong began. My mother and
other Dafa practitioners stepped forward and went to the Appeals Office in
Beijing and told the officials about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong. They
acted according to their right to freedom of belief and the right to appeal,
which are give to everyone by the Constitution. They hoped that the government
would stop the persecution of Falun Gong. Was it not showing their trust in the
government? But they were illegally detained for 15 days. A year later, they
were tricked and taken to a brainwashing class. Because my mother held firm to
her belief, and did not lie nor give up the practice of Falun Gong, she was sent
to a forced labor camp. At that time I was only 10 years old. I missed my
mother. My mother is a good person, and she had not done anything illegal. Why
was she locked up with criminals, and why did the police detain good people? I missed my mother and I cried secretly because I was afraid I would make my
father feel sad. Every night it was hard for me to fall asleep. I would cry
myself to sleep. Once I had a nightmare. I dreamt that my mother was hung to the
metal window in prison, and a policeman instigated two criminals to whip my
mother. I ran to protect my mother and yelled at the criminals... My father woke
me from my dream, and I cried hard in my father's arms. My father held me in his
arms and cried with me for a long time. I raised my head and asked my father,
"Is it wrong that mother cultivates Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance? Did
she violate any laws?" Father replied, "Your mother is the best mom on
earth, and I feel sorry for what I did to her in the past. Don't worry, my
darling daughter. I will try my best to bring her back." Later, a message came from the forced labor camp that my mother was demanding
her unconditional release, and that she had already been on a hunger strike for
a week. When I heard that, I was very anxious. I did not want my mother to die!
I wanted mother released! I cried and did not want to eat or sleep. So I also
began a hunger strike. Afterwards, my father and I went to the forced labor
camp. Even though we did not see my mother, we met with an official from the
labor camp. We reasoned with him and pointed out that Dafa practitioners are not
guilty of anything and that the persecution is violating the law. We told them
that if any misfortune happened to my mother, we would not let off any
responsible criminals. We also demanded her immediate release. In addition, we
patiently woke the buried kindness in this official and clarified the facts to
him. We hoped that he could make a clear distinction between right and wrong,
good and evil and discern the truth from the lies. Finally the official
understood the truth and thanked us. In this way, through the efforts inside and
outside, my mother was finally released after 13 days of being on a hunger
strike. I was so happy that I followed my mom around everywhere. I stroked her
thin face gently. Our family was finally reunited again. Nevertheless, I cannot forget that thousands of children's parents are still
in detention just because they are following a teaching that leads people to be
good, and upgrades human morality according to
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." They have been brutally tortured
and put near the edge of death. These children surely wish to be united with
their parents. And many children still have no knowledge that they will never
see their parents again due to Jiang's policy of, "Ruin their reputation,
bankrupt them financially and destroy them physically," and, "Death of
Falun Gong practitioners from beating is nothing, and is counted as suicide; no
need to check out their identity, cremate the body straight away locally." Dear police uncles and aunties working in the police precincts and local
communities, you also have spouses, children, parents, siblings, and most
importantly, a sense of justice deep down inside, which the evil cannot destroy.
Good is rewarded with good and evil gets karmic retribution, and this is an
everlasting, heavenly law. Dear uncles and aunts, please treat Dafa practitioners kindly and help Dafa
practitioners. Don't do Jiang's bidding, so that kids like myself won't be
separated again from their parents or be forced to wander the streets, and also
so that you and your families will have a bright future. Jiang can no longer
protect himself from justice, and good will overcome evil. Your futures are
decided by yourselves. Dear uncles and aunts, please wake up from the lies! Use
righteousness to uphold justice and truth, and truly save our culture and
nation. Let's keep a piece of pure land in the world. An awakened new mankind
