People are Awakening: A Few Stories from China

(Clearwisdom.net) Based on my experience in clarifying the truth in China, I have gradually come to realize that it is most effective to do it face to face. As a result, I take advantage of every opportunity to clarify the truth of Dafa to others in private gatherings with friends, at barbershops, while shopping, etc. In the past I also made great efforts to clarify the truth, but most people did not listen or understand. Recently, however, I have seen significant changes. As if the ice were melting and the warmth slowly coming with the spring season, people are awakening.

One day I was talking to a retired government official about my understanding of Falun Dafa. He responded positively, "Yes! The very existence of Falun Gong and the sheer number of people who practice it demonstrates that Falun Gong must have merit. Nobody can deny this." He continued to tell me the story of two women in his hometown that had their serious illnesses disappear after they practiced Falun Gong. He said he liked to read the literature about the truth of Dafa.

There is a peasant who works in our apartment complex as both a custodian and a recycler. I often gave Dafa literature to him to read. Once we were chatting and he told me, "I know there are a lot of people practicing Falun Gong. There're many of them in my village alone. All of them are good people who have never committed bad deeds."

On another occasion, I was visiting the widow of my former supervisor. I told her and her son and daughter-in-law a lot about Dafa. They said to me, "Falun Gong is certainly not what the TV programs say. There used to be some people who practiced Falun Gong near our building. They had practiced for several years there. Who said they committed wrong doings? They didn't even talk loudly!" "My husband once said, 'There is nothing wrong with Falun Gong. It's nonsense to accuse Falun Gong of making trouble."

One day a retired worker told me on the street, "I dare to say that Falun Gong will never be defeated. They are all kindhearted people with a higher moral standard. Good people are good for our society. I'm sure you will flourish."

I know an elderly worker who is very thoughtful. He often asks me for Falun Dafa literature, but he always reads without making any comments. Later he expressed his admiration of Falun Gong to me by raising his thumb. During a gathering in the Spring Festival, he finally said, "Falun Gong is truly good. It will not only improve one's physical health, but one's morality as well. I want to practice it myself." I told him to read the book first. I said, "Once you decide to practice I will teach you the exercises." On that very day, I gave him the book Zhuan Falun. A few days later I sent him the exercise VCD. He was very happy.
