Taiwan: National Central University to Hold "Falun Dafa Club Music Presentation" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net, March 7, 2004) On March 21, 2004, a Falun Dafa Club Music Presentation will be held at National Central University. Musicians who practice Falun Gong will be invited to present their works they composed after they started practicing cultivation. The musicians hope to use their music to share with people the purification of their hearts brought by Falun Gong.

Since Falun Gong was introduced to Taiwan in 1995, its emphasis on improving one's nature in accordance with the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and its extraordinary effect in healing and fitness have been highly praised and warmly received by the government and people from all walks of life. In recent years, it has been widely spread in colleges and universities.

Former president of the club Ms. Lin Jingyi said that many club members were drawn by Master Li Hongzhi's use of simple language to elaborate on the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", which allows people to distinguish right from wrong and teach people the way to return to their kind nature. She said that in the course of practicing Falun Gong, the students have improved their health and energy level, and they improved their grades as well.

So far more than 10 universities in Taiwan have set up Falun Gong clubs. These include Taiwan University, Tsing Hua University, Chiao Tung University, National Central University, National Chengchi University, and National Taiwan Normal University. At National Central University, the Falun Dafa club was set up more than 2 years ago. The members include faculty members, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Practicing the five sets of Falun Gong exercises everyday is part of their cultivation. Although there is no specific requirement for the practice site, the club members voluntarily go to the school's lawn to practice every afternoon, so as to allow more students or faculty members to learn about Falun Gong. In addition, the club holds a weekly Fa study. They read Zhuan Falun together and share their cultivation experiences. During the summer, a three-day-and-two-night summer camp is held for college student Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan. These events help club members to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, constantly improve their moral standard and become sincere, kind and good students.

Out of their sense of justice, Falun Gong practitioners in the National Central University especially care about their fellow practitioners who are persecuted in China. They find it intolerable that Falun Gong, which purifies people's hearts, brings peace to the society and has been spread to more than 60 countries in the world and received more than 1000 proclamations from different countries, is defamed by Jiang and his followers. They staged the "Tiananmen Square self-immolation" and fabricated cases such as "poisoning beggars" in an attempt to deceive people all over the world, especially the Chinese people. The club members feel that it is their responsibility to tell people about the real story. Therefore, they held events such as photo exhibitions and petition drives calling for the rescue of the more than 300 Tsing Hua students who are imprisoned in China.
