One day in mid-December 2000, Xiao Bao's mother and I went to attend a Dafa conference. No sooner had we entered the hall, than a group of police officers suddenly broke in through the windows. They turned everything upside down, and I was pushed and dragged away to a corner. While a police officer was about to lay hands on Xiao Bao's mother, a fellow practitioner shouted at him, "Don't' you dare to touch her, she is pregnant!" That day, by using righteous thoughts, we brought the whole situation under control.

May 2001 came and Xiao Bao was due to be born at any time. One day, her mother was getting abdominal pain and quick successions of contractions, and after reading a paragraph from Zhuan Falun to both the mother and child, the little unborn quickly quieted down - I had the feeling that she was listening. Later that day, little Xiao Bao finally came to this world.

After Xiao Bao was born, she quickly won our hearts. She followed us everywhere we went, to Fa study, conferences, and all our other activities.

While Xiao Bao was still bottle fed, her mother was arrested once for doing Dafa work. Carrying Xiao Bo in her arms, a relative went to the police station to demand the release of her mother. Under the influence of our righteous thoughts and help from Teacher, five days later, Xiao Bao's mother was released. Xiao Bao has always been a happy baby girl. While the mother was being detained, she did not cry once. Strangely enough, on the day when her mother was being released, she was extremely cheerful, as if she knew something was happening. "Why is the girl so happy today?" her father was wondering. But later on, when her mother appeared at the door, they all understood the reason.

Xiao Bao's parents often remind her that a good practitioner always listens to what Teacher says, and Xiao Bao does that very well. When Xiao Bao was only one and half years old, one day, while we were sending forth righteous thoughts, Xiao Bao quietly walked across the room and signaled the person who had not kept up with the others to change to the lotus hand gesture. She also likes imitating us during our group practices, and we never fall short of laughter at her cute little ways of doing things.

Once, we were learning how to use a camcorder. Xiao Bao also wanted to have a play. But, as soon as the camcorder came to her hand, she refused to let go. A few days later, when we played back the scenes recorded, Xiao Bao was eager to take a look. First, she asked mother to carry her up, but seeing that another angle would give a better view, she asked another lady to carry her instead. But this time, she quietly watched the whole playback and did not ask for the camcorder afterwards. I gave her my compliments, "Xiao Bao has improved; her attachment has gone so quickly. You will do even better next time, won't you?" Gazing at me with her eyes wide open, Xiao Bao listened attentively.

When her father is busy preparing Dafa materials, Xiao Bao always hangs around and father never loses patience teaching her. Before reaching two, Xiao Bao could already use the machine for sealing plastic bags very well, and had no problems lining up the date on the print.

One day, after a few retries, her father discarded two diskettes that failed to copy. After he left, Xiao Bao picked up the two diskettes, got on to the machine and managed to copy the program onto the diskettes again.

Xiao Bao has improved quickly and she often reminds mother and father when they are not doing so well. Once, in the middle of an argument, mother and father had raised their voices. Xiao Bao, pointing at the palm of the other hand, said, "Stop, no more."

Once, when Xiao Bao was only two and half year old, her mother was angry with father. Pulling mum aside, Xiao Bao asked, "Do you think you were right?" Mum did not know what she meant at first, but after she had repeated the question a few times, she suddenly realized, and asked Xiao Bao, "What do you think?" Xiao Bao replied, "I think you were wrong."

One day, while playing on her own and hearing mum complaining about certain things, Xiao Bao quickly came over and asked, "Are you all right?" Mum quickly realized the problem, and answered cheerfully, "I am okay, dear."

Sometimes, if mother gets carried away with her Dafa work, Xiao Bao reminds her, "Time for sending forth righteous thoughts!" The time is always exactly 5 minutes to the hour. Xiao Bao always has a good sense of time, although she can not read the time yet. At other times, Xiao Bao will sit and cross her legs quietly to catch mum's attention when it is time for righteous thoughts again. If her mother sleeps early, Xiao Bao wakes her up at mid-night. But, if she studies the Fa until late and is unable to get up the next day, Xiao Bao wakes her up at 6 a.m. sharp. Xiao Bao sometimes sits beside her mum and corrects her postures as well. For a short period of time, mum's legs were hurting a lot and she could only manage to sit in the single-leg crossing posture. Xiao Bao sat beside her and folded her legs in double-leg crossing simply to show her mum that she should be using double-leg crossing as well.

At another time, Xiao Bao's mum and I were a bit argumentative. Xiao Bao happened to be playing by our sides. When she heard us, she came and interrupted us immediately. As soon as we settled down again, she quietly went away and played on her own again. She is like a mirror, reminding us from time to time of our shortcomings.

Xiao Bao cries occasionally. But, as soon as we turn on the television with her favorite program of Teacher, her smile returns quickly when seeing Teacher on the screen. "Look! Teacher," she will say.

When coming to Fa study, Xiao Bao's mum seldom read aloud. Once, Xiao Bao snatched the book away from her and said, "Let me read." Mum was annoyed, thinking that she was getting naughty again. When it happened a few times, she realized that Xiao Bao wanted to listen to her reading as well. Since then, mum has started reading aloud and Xiao Bao sits and listens quietly beside her.

Xiao Bao has now turned three. There are so many little stories about her.

A few days ago, carried in her mum's arms, Xiao Bao saw me off at the door when I was leaving the house. I said to her, "Is it okay if I write a cultivation story about Xiao Bao?" She laughed. "I am not praising you," I continued. Blushing, and burying her head in her mum's arms, she continued to laugh heartily.
